The Tea Party candidates were and are funded by corporate donars such as the Koch Brothers (pronounced Coke Bros) as they are also bankrolled by other powerful but undisclosed Wall Street entities. I believe you are well meaning in your support but you end up being a tool of the very powers you oppose. I would assume, if you are as against lobbying in politics as you say you are that you are as disgusted as I am at the Supreme Court decision called Citizen United?

The Tea-party supports limited government and reduced government spending. I support the Tea-party movement and believe that lobbying needs to be stopped cold. Lobbying is legalized bribery. as others have pointed out on the comments here, I also see a great contradiction between the actions 'small-government' people want the Gov. to take and their supposed 'ideals'. Take illegal immigration for example. If they really are for free-markets they would NEVER think in trying to kick out of the country any worker (illegals) that create competition in the job-market.

@elguanteloko The entire idea of a nation & national borders would be meaningless if the national govt was made so small as to have little power to enforce any national laws. The problem w/ small govt right-wingers is that most of them don't actually want a small govt. They want to take away social services that help the poor & average Americans such as social security, but they want to increase or at least maintain the size of defense spending b/c the military protects the interest of the rich.
