Who does it benefits to let an immigrant come in to the USA and open a business and not pay taxes for five years only to sell the business to his brother cousin, sister, Patel, ext.. and not pay taxes again. lentelle (in her understandable frustration) seems to confuse socialism with "giving away your money". the opposite is true. socialism is taking back surplus value from YOUR OWN work. this can be achieved through democratic ownership of the means of production and having a democratic planed economy. workers decides what happens at their own workplace. the economy will be planned on the basis of the needs of their own people and in solidarity with other people.

Anyway when I said "How do you convince them to give up their money?" I was referring to the idea of physical paper and coin money as opposed to a wealth that grows exponentially the more a person or many people contribute to society. Too many people will not be willing to let go of their greed/obsession to collect those pieces of green paper

Its a very simple formula. Non-educated & starving people become unethical in order to survive.

We dont need money to survive because food, resources, knowledge & techology are far more useful than "money".
The sooner we realise that the disparity in money can NEVER look after everyone, but only breed more poverty & corruption by the jealousy & greed it promotes, then we are best off evolving from that primitive concept & move into an age of REAL true value. TECHNOLOGY. We can take care of everyone.
