You have been immortalized!! I used to send Dave letters, in the hopes of having one read. In one such letter I used the concocted premise "Dave's Big Mystery Door," (I don't recall why I used it, other than to promote some fictional bit) I missed Viewer Mail for one show - tuning in late. Then, Dave, at one point in that show, was heard to say, “Big Mystery Door.” So I'll assume that he read the letter, but I may never know the answer to, if he did or not.

It was a total surprise. The first I knew of it was my sister calling in the middle of the night. Of course, Dave was on a different network in those days. Things may have changed since then.
