  • Why have comments been excluded on "Chain Saw Safety"? This is a bit odd. Why can't we comment on this spate of Chain Saw Safety& tree felling seminars here juxtapositioned with the climbing of the talest tree in the U.S. ? Tell me why not? Has it to do with the unintended irony of the contingency? The two sides of the U.S.?

  • On the minus side, for those of you who are not professional fallers and might try to mimic him:

    He never looked up during the cut for widowmakers and to gague if there was any movement of the top in response to his cuts, the saw should not be used to eject the face cut and the saw should be dogged as much as possible while makign the cuts. It is easier to use the sights on the saw if the faller starts with the bottom cut of the face. Use the top of the bar instead of the gut.
