As far as greatness of the songs versus how well it is known by the general public I say this song is the most overlooked any of the 4 Beatles ever did.
This is one of the best songs ever created. It would be interesting to see how this song would fare if it was released as a new song today? My sense is that it would edge out Justin Beiber and Laddy Ga Ga for the top spot on the charts. But I could be wrong. Peace.
@makingsense53 You WOULD NOT be wrong at all...! Here's real art that can be played with no electricity and it would still be rocking and pertinent!!!!!!
@Todosobrelosbeatles Yes, it's the original silent version from 1925 directed by Larry Semon. It's a very interesting, literal take on the book. Really cool FX in it for the time.
Wings at their very best! It has everything a great song should have: nice intro, tempo changes, superb lead singing, beautiful harmonies, bold bass, screaming guitars, and the list continues. I just love it!
@ImLaraCroft Thanx for watchin and listenin. I totally agree with you! This is one of the most rockin songs he's ever done. Wish he'd put it in set-list for his up-to-date tours. Again, thanx for watchin. Take care and have a great weekend!
@bluesmanzzz Yeah - back when stations were Independents and not corporately owned (as well as mass corporately owned). We have a plethora of stations here in Dallas and I think they're all owned by the same corporate junkies! Can't hear a good or different song on the radio to save myself! Oh well, thank God for Cds and MP3s, huh. LOL.
Definitely one of the great unsung solo McCartney songs. Also: "Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five", "Smile Away", "One More Kiss", "Hi Hi Hi", "Girl's School"....
I admire your vision. It is exceptionally important with Jack...It is an awesome film nior of the most delicious of "sorts" with this extravagant green...It says so many things. I adore this effort...I ADORE IT!!!

Excellent guitar ! Love Paul !!!

@mattymath1 I agree also. Macca has a few of them if you go through his catalog. No Words, Getting Closer, Eat at Home just to name a few others.

@dannycs4 Yeah. I apologize for that. It should read "Video Version 1" since I had all intentions on doing a second version at some point.
