For that effect, I exported a freeze-frame/still image from Final Cut, and took that image into Photoshop where I 'cut out' the person, and filled in the background behind them using the Rubber Stamp tool. So i was left with the person on a separate layer to the background. Then save that file as a PSD and bring it into Final Cut, and you can manipulate the 'layers' (person & background) by added a bit of motion and giving a touch of depth using a dropped shadow.

Wicked this is a really fun edit. How did you do that crazy effect where the backgroud stays still and the person pops out?
