I hate to break it to all of you but Mississippi has the best High School Football of any state in the United States. There is a book about it, Gridiron Gold. The Ivy Leauge school, Penn, did a 5 year study of football in all states and determined Mississippi to have the best High School Football. Mississippi is the best, it's a fact. South Panola, longest winning streak in nation. Suck it!!! haha
I do not know, I believe Mississippi should be considered 3rd behind Texas, and Florida if they aren't 1. But I am telling you, you would love the book if you read it, you should check into it.
How do the divisions work? I live in Hawaii and we only have 2 divisions (D1 on top, D2 is the bottom). But I see that mainland states all have like 4 or 5 divisions and I can't catch on to which division has better teams. Do higher divisions (ex 5) have better teams than lower divisions (ex 1)? Or is it vice versa (1 is higher, 5 lower)?
Texas HS Football is second to none. They have consistently had a team ranked in the top 5 in the nation, if not number 1 for what. . .like the last 10 years. Even this year Euless Trinity is the #1 team in the NATION!!! Another thing look at all the Heisman candidates that are getting good looks Colt McCoy, Chase Daniels, Matthew Stafford guess where they played their high school ball. i saw a missouri 5-A football team play and i promise to god there are some middle schools in texas that could have raped those teams...and my friend told me that the missouri teams are better than the illinois ones...lol disgrace!!!!

Illinois's football is better then texas haha. We have better schools and go all the way up to Class 8a football. Illinois football had over 620 highschool's participating in the IHSA league. Only California matches us.

I hate to break it to all of you but Mississippi has the best High School Football of any state in the United States. There is a book about it, Gridiron Gold. The Ivy Leauge school, Penn, did a 5 year study of football in all states and determined Mississippi to have the best High School Football. Mississippi is the best, it's a fact. South Panola, longest winning streak in nation. Suck it!!! haha

How do the divisions work? I live in Hawaii and we only have 2 divisions (D1 on top, D2 is the bottom). But I see that mainland states all have like 4 or 5 divisions and I can't catch on to which division has better teams. Do higher divisions (ex 5) have better teams than lower divisions (ex 1)? Or is it vice versa (1 is higher, 5 lower)?

Texas HS Football is second to none. They have consistently had a team ranked in the top 5 in the nation, if not number 1 for what. . .like the last 10 years. Even this year Euless Trinity is the #1 team in the NATION!!! Another thing look at all the Heisman candidates that are getting good looks Colt McCoy, Chase Daniels, Matthew Stafford guess where they played their high school ball. Hell we got 3A teams that would whoop other states top ranked teams.

are you retarded?? Check out the Southlake Carroll teams up around Dallas, TX. Celina High School Football team had a 68 game winning streak also in Texas. And Katy teams down around Houston, TX have had quite the dynasty themselves in the 90's. Going to state 6 or 7 years in a row is nothing new in High School Football. Not in Texas anyway.

there are 3 main states for football California, Texas, and Florida. over 75% of all 4 and 5 star football athletes come from these 3 states combined. thats a lot considering there are 50 states. and its all about even at 25% each which is huge. Florida is known for its speedy athletes. Texas is known for almost as much speed and huge lineman that could knock out any lineman from some other state with ease. and California is known for its overall athleticism. all other states suck at football.
