That wasn't EVE, it was ADAM.

ADAM comes in different colors.

Plasmids= Red

Physical Tonic= Green

Engineer Tonic= Sky Blue

Combat Tonic= Gold

ADAM actually rewrites your genetic code (replacing old cells with stem cells). You take ADAM and it gives you a new ability (you change the ADAM in a Garden of Eden to make abilities). ADAM is the building blocks that allow you to have Plasmids.

EVE is something that came around afterwards. Using Plasmids take alot of energy, EVE restores that.
