  • Thanks so much for sharing this. I don't live in the area, and obviously that's about the only place with things like this happening frequently. Thank you again for posting Doug, and thinking of us!

  • Hummer used to look decent now it look like it has come from an Alien Planet.

  • hi doug, just a quick comment! ENJOYOURMATRIXX wrote a comment about co2 and global warming on here. even if it doesn't contribute to warming, has he/she not ever been to a big city and taken a few deep breathes? thats right if you took more than one deep breathe you would throw up because of the air pollution and i'm pretty sure that wasn't there before ICE vehicles. i guess some people just cant admit that we caused the air problem! great stuff doug. how many km's has your rav done?

  • I'm really worried with the lower oil prices, everyone will forget the EV.

  • A valid worry; but in the long run, the price of oil will go up. Also, China is now realizing that they can't support 1 billion IC cars.

  • Well it's a shame the economy had to tank just so oil could come down, not a good way for our movement too. I applaud China for waking up. Maybe America will do the same, we have no choice.

  • Notice local gas prices are edging up? Don't expect we will wait long to be gauged again. Shutting down CA diesel refineries - Shell for one - was a great (if fiendishly destructive) move :-(. Gee. Thanks Big Oil. Just like Thanks for Iraq War, Big Oil.

  • The addiction continues....

  • co2 level in the atmosphere FOLLOW temperature rise and fall googleit. We need electric car TO GET OF THE GRID and stop being dependent on the oil industry NOT BECAUSE OF FAKE GLOBAL WARMING SCAM. That is why they dont relase those car because co2 as nothing to do with temperture changes.

  • The Hummer was an all electric hummer, with 30 miles range. It had plans to become a fuel cell vehicle, but wasn't complete. When you looked under the hood, there was absolutely nothing. The ICE had been removed, in preparation for a fuel cell. Funny how the FCV works without the fuel cell. Maybe they should just put more batteries under the hood instead of a fuel cell. IMO, this car shouldn't have been in the parade.

  • Shame on GM for keeping us hooked on oil for so long. The new problem is the EPA not letting US manufacture our own batteries. Peace

  • Well with price of the barrel going down, not so sure this will ever happen. It's such a shame.

  • I would love to see the EV Hummer in motion. Just to show them.

  • Agree. That would be the only way I would ever own one!

  • Would like to know more about that "noisy truck" you pointed out. EVs of that size are rare. I think that the EV community needs to focus on electrifying trucks to show that EV can be big and powerful. Small EVs just extend the myth that EVs must be small and powerless.

  • I'd like to know more, too! I did interview them; it only goes at low speed, but it can move containers around the pot, so it's sort of a super-jitney. The port has had jitneys for a long time.

  • liveoilfree, ah, so the big rig is like a tugboat. Thanks for the info.
