  • Why don't you start your own company then you can manage it the way you want to...oh wait I mean the way the Union that hijacks your company wants.

  • Fuck you union faggot cry babies.

  • Most of these "scabs" have been ordered to work. Either that or loose their jobs. Do you think the pay is worth it to them being harassed, sent away from their families, working 72 hour weeks, etc? Tell me, which one of you union guys would risk loosing your job? Be real. familiesagainstverizon . wordpress . com

  • so many people don't have jobs right now and a lot of people have taking pay cuts and paying more for their benefits just to keep their jobs. I cant believe that you union workers think that the company you work for owes you the world. if you dont like what they do to you be like the rest of America and get a new job

  • @bartgrimas HATER,,,why should everybody in America be broke and busted while the rich get richer...WAKE UP...someone has got to end this. Your mentality is "well everyone else is broke and taking pay cuts", well I say join a union or unionize your current job..then you won't be crying and worrying about what everybody else does.

  • @djcfan FYI....your way of thinking is SOCIALIST. in our free society, the rich have the right to get rich and have the freedom to do whatever they want with their wealth. If you want to get rich, start a d@mn company, put your back into it and get rich instead of crying to the union. My mentality is not America's problems. Unions are 80% of the reason that frikkin everything is made in China now. Stateside companies can't afford to subsidize overpaid, low skill jobs for life.

  • @67olliex Career / job same damn thing. Call me what you like the truth is this there are millions of people out of jobs at the moment who would give their left leg to have a job/career as you call it with the way things are. I understand their point of view but maybe right now is not the time and with the actions they have been taking at the picket lines some of these people may not have a "Career"because there will be someone there to take their place in a heart beat if they are not careful.

  • Some of you people want American workers to work as cheaply as the Chinese workers, until the country you live in is just like China. Be careful of what you are wishing for. If you would rather have CEO's bank accounts grow than giving the workers a fair compensation, then the future of our country is in worse shape than I thought.

  • do you union workers like terrorizing 11 yearold girls too?

  • Scab song "You know there ain't no rest for the wicked Money don't grow on trees We got bills to pay, we got mouths to feed There ain't nothin' in this world for free" Union Song "Oh, today I don't feel like doing anything I just wanna lay in my bed Don't feel like picking up my phone, so leave a message at the tone 'Cause today I swear I'm not doing anything Nothing at all"
  • CORPORATE GREED IS WHAT DESTROY AMERICAN!!!

    FIGHT AGAINST GREEDY BASTARD!!

EARNING BILLIONS AND CUTTING 45,000 OF JOBS

  • These guys are beating a dead horse.Quit crying about what u don't have and be glad you have a job!

  • @txbulldog1

its not a job idiot...these are careers....30 yr careers...and its not about what they dont have its about keeping what they do have and have fought for over 50 years of bargaining. These are middle class american's who own homes, raise families and pay taxes. The race to the bottom stops with this strike. So just because OTHERS are glad to have a job OR just because others dont have good health care, pension and job security doesnt mean this group should give it up

  • Say goodbye to the gravy-train known as 1950s contracts that fostered, facilitated, and enabled old, unskilled(in 21st century marketplace), disability-lovin, sick-day abusing, entitled blue collar goons to manipulate the system. Quit whining about executive rewards and step foot into the 21st century where raises are based on merit and contributions to your job versus automatic gifts of salary increase because you show up to work some of the time when you're not abusing sick/fmla days.

  • @bowlinja First off, you're a dipshit. Second off, know what the strike is about before you talk shit. It is not to get a higher pay check, it is to keep benefits. Verizon workers have not recieved pay raises for years to keep their benefits. My father is a verizon worker and he is the hardest working person I have ever met. Are you telling me that I shouldn't get heath care? That my little sister shouldn't get to go to college? Fuck you and every thing you stand for.

  • @bowlinja HEY MANAGEMENT, THEY MUST PAY YOU A LOT OF MONEY TO GO ONLINE AND BASH THE UNION....WELL I GOT NEWS FOR YOU....YOUR FIGHT IS OVER,,,.WAKE UP AMERICA....SUPPORT THE UNION...VERIZON OUTSOURCES 52 MILLION DOLLARS WORTH OF WORK OVERSEAS,...IF THE UNIONS DONT FIGHT...THERE WILL BE NO JOBS IN AMERICA TO HAVE,.THEY ARE WAITING LIKE A LION ON A LAMB TO OUTSOURCE THE JOBS FROM AN ALREADY STRUGGLING AMERICAN ECONOMY...SUPPORT UNIONS

  • @djcfan U wanna know why VZ outsources? Because of violent, ill-behaved unions just like you, that's why. Maybe VZ will outsource all 45,000 of you whiney babies and you will have to compete in the job market like everyone else does and contribute your fair share to health care like everyone else does. Your union isn't critical to phone service by the way - look around you - your competition already knows how to outsource network ops.

  • @0tsienville0 ARE YOU EVEN AMERICAN? SOUNDS LIKE A FOREIGNER TO ME, WHO WANTS TO LIVE IN AMERICA AND RECEIVE ALL THE BENEFITS AMERICA HAS TO OFFER AND THEN TURN AROUND AND HATE AMERICA'S WAY OF LIFE. YOU MUST BE IN INDIA BECAUSE YOU ARE MIGHTY PROUD OF OUTSOURCING!

  • @djcfan Nope, born and bred here all my life. My take on outsourcing is this - if a company is held hostage by a bunch of overpaid whiners, I don't blame them for taking their money elsewhere. Businesses are in business to make profit. So what if they make a lot of money and are successful. That's what pays your salary ain't it? So, STFU and get back to work before you DO get your @ss outsourced.

  • hey, CWA/IBEW! nobody owes you anything. you support a union that helps you keep your job. this is not a sustainable philosophy. The means of ownership and production are in the hands of the ones who own it. You do not own it. Yes, you may have built it but you were doing so because the company had a need. That need is no longer there. Welcome to capitalism. America is watching you on youtube and they aren't sympathetic.

  • @giolics I guess you missed my point, Verizon is saying these workers work in the "legacy" part of the business, this is not true. Verizon telecom provides high speed optical carriers to cell sites, which allows Verizon wireless to provide their 4G service. Also, their FIOS service is one of the most advanced networks in the country. This is by far an old legacy service that no one wants anymore. I do agree that both sides spread misinformation, but in this case I know Verizon is not truthful

  • STFU

  • Wireless runs of our network. The truth will come out. Also those scabs cause more troubles because they're unskilled and untrained.

  • @giolics you don't know anything how many businesses do you know use wireless anything?

  • @bklyndude77 You apparently don't either (oh yeah, that's because you've been under a rock in an archaic union that wants to keep the world locked in the 1970's). Wireless T1's / FDS3 already exist and there are businesses that use this technology.

  • To the 14/million Americans Unemployed -- Get your resumes ready, Verizon will soon have 45,000 jobs available.

  • @giolics...you need to brush up on your technology..in the 21st century, EVERYTHING depends on landlines... your cellphone is not a satcomm.. its only wireless to the first cell site.. from there, the medium is all LANDLINE CABLES until it reaches the cell site to where you are calling to

  • Mute the volume and their expressions all seem to say "BUT BUT BUT Their doing MY JOB!!!"

  • Lets see... You walk out on your good paying job, then your "brothers" harass any workers who are called in to perform the work. Hell if I was management I'd give you 3 days to return and if you didn't I would make your temp replacement permanent.

  • @Leaderoftheplanet ...in an ideal world, that may work, but unfortunately it takes a minimum of 5 years to be trained and qualified as a technician...

  • @giolics You don't know s$%t...land lines are fiber optic cables that bring you your FIOS TV, and internet. Also, land lines connect all these cellular cites together, which enables Verizon's CEO's to make 50000 dollars a day. Don't believe every thing that greedy corporation tells you. I am glad to see them stand up for themselves.

  • ..."Won't Effect Service"?? That's a freakin' JOKE! I have to call Boston for business DSL support and yesterday some lady that answered the call after 30minutes on hold was asking me if I had received my new Blackberry! Had to go looking for an "expert" to try and resolve a routing issue.Five hours later it was still hosed.Had to beg the MCOW in Long Beach,CA to take a look as the temp techs in Boston hosed up the circuit big time...

  • I am a GTE/VZ going on 33yrs CWA member here in Texas and have to say you two guys did the right thing in making sure those two managers didn't kill themselves! They were forced up there and probably have not worked outside in years.I would have done the same thing. NOW,a scab is a different story! You jackwagons calling ALL CWA members "lazy" ought to see how we members here in Texas are the most productive members in the VZ footprint before you paint the old school copper guys in that manner!!

  • Go back to work, you Union Socialist Bloodsuckers.

  • @albyva , i guess you enjoy working 80 hrs per week with shitty medical, wages etc... i understand you dont care about that stuff.. but dont try and take mine away.... if you dislike unions that much, morth korea, china, an a mexico are non union and would love to have you as an employee

  • @thenemesisenforcer1 You are the Union's lackey. The only pockets being enriched are the Union Bosses you take your orders from, slave. Go pick up your $120/wk slave wage suckers. IBEW = International Brotherhood of Easy Work. / CWA = Corporate Welfare Association

  • @albyva $120 per week? you've really been out of the circuit a long time, havent you? i think that was the 1971 stipend

  • @giolics How do you think cell towers work idiot, by magic? Copper land lines and fiber optic land lines feed the towers. Know what your talking about first.

  • @tribaldragon77 Hey shit for brains. I maintain twenty nine cell sites. Not one fed by Verizon copper. All by Microwave. The main hubs are then fed to the switch via "Fiber" by a non union professional vendor. This is the reason Verizon Wireless makes money and you guys are a bunch of clueless bozos. You clowns would never make it past the 1st interview with Verizon Wireless which fortunately is non union and hires only professionals based on skill sets and education level

  • Lazy union scum........ Go for broke Verizon and bust the union !!!!!!!

  • I'll say this - compared to 99% of other striking union people these two guys should become the union PR guys...much better than the profanity laced videos everywhere else.

HOWEVER they made one point that I think should be corrected - not trying to get rid of the union workers, VZ is trying to get out of date agreements changed to reflect 2011 America Work Reality - you should pay into your healthcare, you should not want a pension but rather a 401k and being limited to 5 days of sick leave

  • @RIGHT2WORKUSA ...why should we have to pay for our healthcare? the CEO and upper management don't. 5 days sick leave? no pension? if youprefer to work in china or north korea, thats great...

    '

  • why should we have to pay into our healthcare? our upper management doesnt, They have a pension and 401K.. and unlimited sick time...So, you being an american worker, dont feel you are entitled to that also? so sad

  • I so wish I lived on the east coast right now. I would be more than happy to cross the picket lines and do the job these union morons won't do. I have cabling experience too. I sure hope Verizon stays strong and kicks those morons to the curb.

  • fight on brothers and sisters!!! we are with you!!!! stand up for the middle class fuck these corporate slaves and the d-bags commenting they are truly the scum of the earth

  • how can you stand there saying that service will be interrupted while two guys in the back round are doing your job... your strike will not affect jack shit..

  • @bigspook999 If the work isn't done right it will. The men doing this work don't know what they are doing most mangers don't have the same training as verizon techs. For most mangers this is the first time they are even out in the feild so if you think that service won't be interrupted then you are just naive.

  • @bigspook999 You have no idea what you are talking about. The two guys doing "work" have no idea what they are doing. They are attempting but failing. Verizon has striked many times, and the workers have always won, because the managers DON'T know what they are doing. The strike is to keep the benefits that the workers deserve, for years of service and keeping you with phone service.

  • @bigspook999 Bullshit.

  • My point was they sound like two pedantic fools. Frankly, I don't know anyone under 30 years old who has a land line phone. People don't want your products so you need to adjust. I think you'll still be on strike on Christmas Eve, unless the union caves.

  • @pfefferphoebe ..you need to brush up on 21st century technology...EVERYTHING is connected to a landline.. your smartphone/droid/iphone etc are all connected to a landline once they pass that first tower or cell site...your cable tv is connected to a LANDLINE....i think you are confusing your cellphone with a SATCOMM

  • Why wouldn't you take experienced workers advice? Maybe if you fell on your head you'd know better. VERIZON GREED WILLNEVER SUCCEED!

  • @ladiedimps Because the "experienced workers" are thugs and bullies, and I wouldn't put it past them to maliciously give bad advice. It's right up there with all the sabotage they are committing.

  • Wow, they helped a manager with how to climb a ladder. How kind of them. Next, they teach how to use a knife and fork, then it is on to using an elevator.

  • If I were out there doing your jobs, I wouldn't trust your advice either.
