Support Sound Pharmaceuticals. They're developing compounds to protect hearing from noise, drugs and chemotherapy as well as restore hearing [hair cell regeneration.] They really need funding, otherwise it could be 10 years or more before tinnitus becomes extremely preventable and even 'properly' curable as in reversed and corrected from the source and cause.
Watching somebody mouthe words and move their lips is a bit scarey, when you know they're talking to you. I hope I have too much wax or just an ear infection.
I'm concerned that my right ear suddenly lost its ability to hear. I highly suspect from using my bluetooth this year extensively. Can someone give me more information on this? Also, the day when my right ear went deaf... i took out lots of wax... incredible amount.. and i thought that would solve the problem.. now it has been 2 weeks and still, my ear isn't back to the normal....
@damthatriver09 How were you removing the wax? If you were removing it with a q-tip or some other narrow object it's possible you impacted some wax up against your eardrum or it's possible that you perforated it. I highly recommend seeing a healthcare professional about this.
my hearing loss was caused by the drug amikacin ..is this permanent? it has been two years now ..my hearing aid allows me to hear loud noises. it's difficult to communicate with people even with my hearing aid
hello i heard a big noise and everything turned lower like 10dB but ok now. hvat happend? (i hear fine now) everything turned back to normal after 1,5sec. i did not get tinnitus!
@gameboy699 You probably were not exposed to it for too long, excess sound pressure takes time to permanently impact your ear's hearing ability, it depends on the intensity of the sound pressure
