Although a proud MAGS boy and a leader of the MAGS Group dat won in 2001....I must have to admit that Roskill 95-96 was and probly still the benchmark....their raw power (I must admit TC of the last few years has power...but thats with 50ish performers....roskill did this with 30ish) and authentic presentation of culture is way better than today's mixture of random az stuff from everywhere....samoa, cook island, maori, MTV, C4 lol...u name it you see if all the Niuean Stage these days.

People comment on Roskill 95 & 96 but why does anyone give any props to SAWN!!!!! Its funny how dancers get all the credit and the tutors get none....
i agree with sprigggs..the mt roskill niuean group back in 95 was awesome! I mean, what makes it better is that it was nothing like what we see in the modern day...it was more raw and traditional..but now its the mixture of hip hop or what ever these days that kills it..my older bro was in this group that year ! they performed on Friday..and they performed again the next day because it was that damn good. They were even invited to tour in Samoa! Mt Roskill Niuean Group 95 and 96 champs woohoo!
