the reason why this is 10 times better then most other (sucker) punch defenses is the fact that you don't see a sucker punch coming -> you'll get hit. this guy factors this and starts his technique after being hit! awesome ! :)
A humorous incident a few weeks back - I may have accidentally knocked a guys drink a little, said sorry, and moved on. No big deal, walking away to the exit as I was. Next moment - whack - sucker punch right hook to the jaw from behind. No chance to defend. I turned, smiled and asked politely 'did you just hit me ?', genuinely unfazed by the hit.
That must have been unexpected, because they both ran for the exit and took off down the road.
Very practical. This is the one defnsive move that I worry about most, probably because, as you say, that's usually the way you get hit. Glad I'm not your training buddy - you're going to snap that guy's neck eventually :D
@hoppy1970 Thank you for the comment. FYI - Just out of interest I havebeen studying TCM and massage for around 6 and a half years.. There is alot of trust between us and I know the limitations. But thats why I say becareful with this.. you should be supervised etc.. and yes its true accidents happen Very easily. I have witnessed an incident where a girls head got stomped and neck cracked. Its easier than most think.
@MrButterscotch1 As soon as you decide to cut all the sit out you may or may not have trained and decide that youare willing to do WHATEVER it takes to defeat an attacker! This is a little demo and a mere option, have a look at some of the other self protection tutorialsI've done ;-) Even recently I've used Tables, Chairs, Keys, Cigarettes, Dirty.. Survival is no joke! Keep it Raw ;-)
@TeamWuJin. I have a story. I got my top lip split all the way through, so you could see my teeth. I know what your talking about when it comes to shock. I litteraly was like how the fuck did that happen? With a busted lip, and I knew I was seriously hurt...I still won the fight, because I was willing to do whatever to win it. I like your teqs. espically the knife ones! I practice with my dad, and a butter knife...LOL. Keep up the good work.
Luke Halloway, your vids are awesome; straight to the point, no glam, all reality. Keep up the fab work.

Very nice technique. It puts you in a protective position and presps you for the response attack. Brilliant.

Luke, dude, you are amazing. How long would you say it takes to get up to the point of being able to use this reactively on the street?

This was cool to look at. I wish I could afford training. I wonder if video instruction can be any help?
