@coozman64 Have you ever seen an episode of the TV show? The movie had better visual effects for sure, but the show (aside from the occasional bad episode) had amazing and surprisingly intelligent writing for a Saturday morning show.
.......why did they spoof this in the remake.........with all the technology......they could of had the makings of a good movie.......back to the drawingboard hollywood,,,,
I watched this as a kid, but I can't remember if they got back home? I remember something about the "father" standing over some coloured crystal table and walking into a time port hole or something?
I have used the last line of this video on as a signature on some of the forums I belong to. It simply reads "It is not the absence of hate that will save your people, but it is the presence of compassion" Rick Marshall (1974).
Throw all of the New Land Of The Lost DVD's and Blu Rays to the Sleestak God, that includes Will Ferrell. Maybe by manipulating the crystals I can go into a dimension where a Good Land of the Lost movie was made!
I wish Walt Disney had kept the "rights" instead of letting it go. Walt Disney would've been faithful and improved on the Original. Maybe someday. New Orleans Saints did win a Super Bowl so I still hold out hope for a great mini-series by Si-Fi or Disney.
Masterful work. Thank You. I would love to find out that (besides "Circle") there was a lost LOTL episode that shows how they get home. Just an incomparable series. With no other special effects to compare it to at the time, it was magical! Even on a grainy 1974 television, the sleestak haunted me for year! LOL
This is the trailer of what should have been. P. Tremors says it right ; "what the movie stole from us". Remember what Stephen King did with The Stand? He made a mini-series very faithful to the book. Wouldn't a mini series, with this trailer, be a fantastic outlet for LOTL?
I bookmarked this. A great tribute to an old classic that out did the stupid movie (trailer) by a thousand folds. There is ONLY one Land of the Lost and it still outshine all else. Thanks for a wonderful piece of Art my friend. You gave back to us what the movie stole away. I enjoyed this very much, The music was great and the scenes were all masterfully put together. Again, thank-you Eddie Angstrom for the work and the love you put into this.
this is so awesome!!

Fine job! Perfect way to portray Land of the Lost as a movie. It totally sucked that they decided to make it a comedy.

Proper. For the motion picture, they should have played it straight and true to the original series.
