I've found (from one of Dan's vids) that there is an optimised pattern for the beams to avoid the ground. You activate the one on one side, then quickly activate the other one (time spent on the ground: enough to land and jump again) then jump back over to the first one, and THIS time walk all the way across. Then you jump back on and walk all the way across again, then do the same to the second pad. Then they should both be down, and you should be right in the centre, ready to start again.

I found that spread rockets were helpful in the big form.
I also watched this for a clue on how to beat the small form >_>

Haha.. i have to admit..when i beat Iosa, I was not expecting such a sudden "end" to the battle like that...and it was awesome still. XD
