  • Hey Frog! What up my good man, long time no see, hope you're doing well and God bless.

  • The absolute epitome of everything a muscle car wishes it could be, coupled with the elegant and simplistic "brute force" design, with a dash of rarity thrown into the mix.

I was a young kid when the concept was unveiled, and when the first cars went into production from SHEAR DEMAND for the car, based on the concept.

I have ALWAYS loved the first gen snakes... and one day, I WILL HAVE ONE!

Great run btw! Was your butt puckered a bit, praying not to accidentally dump that clutch too hard? :)

  • @circutracer150

Thanks! Yea it was a fun pass but I actually slipped the clutch REALLY BAD so I wouldn't dump the clutch and mess up my run. I traded this car in and bought a 98' GTS. It's alot better! :)

  • @getfrog mmmMMMMmm I got a 97 GTS.....LOVE IT!

  • @circutracer150

I don't know if it's just me but I love those targa tops! Sure it wasn't fully convertible but damn was it ever fitting for this car. My only regret is that these cars were very expensive, I'm going to go out on my opinion (not fact) but I think the car would've been a lot more affordable had the base viper had a v8, I'm not a big Chrysler guy but I think the 318 still lurked around during those years. But hey that's not to say that the mighty 8.0L v8 couldn't be an option :P

  • @FANADICALCOWHEAD The only reason they didn't do a V8, is because everyone was doing it. They wanted to set it apart, so the V10 went in.

  • Beautiful :)

  • best american car ever!!

  • Please reply. I know it may sound like a dumb question. But how do you open the doors of a viper rt, without sticking your hands through the window and opening it from inside? At first I thought you had to stick your hands through the window to open it, then i saw some old rt's with glass windows that you probably couldn't fit a hand through, so can you get in a viper rt 10 without sticking your hand through the window?

  • @000eMan000 ....somewhere around 96...but maybe 98, they put electric windows in, as well as exterior electric actuated door latches. The same latch is on the Viper GTS. It's a tiny little knob with a button on the outside, in the black area of the door...

  • @integra0guy

Cool! You should move to Japan too! Then you can bask in the aroma of Japanese cars and cartoons.

  • dude that would be awsome , japan sounds like a great place, i hear that cops in japan doesn't care how fast you drive coz they just give up, japanese anime is cool watch it alot too

  • yep imagine initial d and wangan midnight almost everyday and skylines ans supras and al that JDM heaven but usually JDM japanese sports cars are slower than the USDM japanese sports cars besides the supra N/A

  • that's a very good time! The 1/4 is around 13s for those model

  • 12.20s second generation stock

  • thats a horrible time

  • Haha I love stupid replys by ignorant people like SumsGTR here for instance. Vipers not taking corners? Produces same power as a 2l turbo? Haha, wow you only wish you could get as broad of range of power in your little jap scrap. I'm sorry but I'd take an NA engine pulling 450hp than any turbo jap crap that can do the same.

  • alot of people mix up the viper not being able to take corners with the average person not being able to make them go around corners correctly. plain and simple the viper handles, yet with that much torque down low, its easy to get too eager with the throttle and lose control, ergo "bad handling"

  • So you mean it actually takes skill to drive? Yeah, I would agree with that statement.

  • exactly. very unforgiving

  • pure American Muscle!!!!

  • i have a 94 viper . and its a lot of fun.. 450 horses ready to be use.. 13 inch wide tires. and still burns ruber when you drop second gear at over 50 miles/h. japanies car are like their owners.. little dicks . little engines.. lol.. i use to have a corvette ls1 engine.. is was fun too, but the viper is something else.. if u want to make a car with superchargers and turbos.. thats for pussies.. nitro too.. raw engines.. thats what i like..

  • hey how much horse power does Year: 1994 Make: Dodge Model: Viper Trim: RT/10 Mileage: 63,500 Price: 24,900 Exterior Color:green Interior Color:gray VIN #: 1b3br65e4rv103087 Stock #: DOD3087 Body Style: CONVERTIBLE 2-DR Transmission: 6-Speed Manual Engine: 8.0L V10 OHV 20V Drive Train: RWD leave me a comment on my profile
  • A 12.1 seconds run. is nothing shorter than amazing for a second gen RT/10.

Also, the launch was very good, no wheelspin at all!

  • Thanks. This was actually a Gen I RT/10. I had to ride the clutch out pretty hard to keep those old stock tires from spinning, but it netted me a few12.2 sec passes and finally the 12.1.

  • 1st gen? Eheh, then, i guess those beautiful rims deceived me on the first sight :-D

    Yeah, lol.

  • @getfrog

good thing you can change the clutch in 2 hours if you have a hoist and the right tools

  • No one cares about your worthless comments. Keep them to your miserable self.

  • Yeah I agree. We've got Nurburgring anyway =]

  • 1) this car is from the early 90's dumbass. show me a stock jap car from the early 90's that is faster than this...

2)TODAY's viper is FASTER than the overhyped GT-R, or any other production car that has gone around the Nurburgring for that matter.

    3) This car is almost 20 years old and it looks SOO much better than any Jap car that iv seen.

    4) German cars are terrible.

    5) Stop talking.

  • cant corner? then why does the viper have so many wins in Gt racing? be informed when you post stuff PLEASE.

if you knew anything about topgear, Clarkson said he "loved" this car.

Also if you knew anything ELSE about topgear, they named the ZR1 car of the year. dont like americans? stop talking.

  • American cars = BORING (YAWN YAWN)

  • lol *eyeroll*

  • Somebodies jealous... haha I love it when people attack the vipers, come on man they are bad-ass and you know it!

  • i like how ignorant fucks always look at horsepower, SUMSGTR, what you SHOULD look at is the entire hp sheet, look at how much more torque this car makes and at such a broader rpm range, this car can make less hp, but you get the hp rating through allot more of the rpm range .....just because a car makes more power doesn't mean shit if you only get it at 8,000 rpm i hope you were intelligent enough to keep up there pup

  • LT1berad!! You get em bro!! Dodge-Viper owns jap cars by far.. even if you could tune a crap honda civic to out run the viper.. I'd prefer viper over honda any day!! Viper=badass Honda=badass with only the drivers who respect Vipers in it.

  • cual es su velocidad maxima?

  • nice slow start

  • wat do u have in that RT/10

  • The Viper was pretty stock on this run. I had K&N cone Filters, no cats, Dynomax mufflers and bypassed the AC pulley with a shorter belt, thats all! I also had a short throw shifter though. The problem was the STRONG headwind and the crappy tires. I was REALLY supprised I cut a 1.80 - 60' with those bald tires, but I think it's because I did a small little second burnout to make sure the tires had maximim traction. I also rode the clutch out pretty hard, minimizing wheel spin out of the hole.

  • wow nice run. you just cut off the cats? what type of dynomax muffler. i just got a 95 rt 10. also, whats the brand name of the intake? thanks!

  • The car came without cats. Not sure of the type of Dynomax mufflers, but I think it's the only ones available for Vipers. The intake I got from another Viper guy. The filters are K&N.... so I assume it's a K&N setup.

  • Cone air filters and mufflers.

  • Hey, I know that car!

  • nice fuckin driven dude. Wet road, and street tires.

  • Thanks. The road was actually dry, it just appears to be wet sometimes at drag strips. The street tires though... pfffft.... sucked.

  • that was nice driving out of the hole on street tires.

  • good run, launch and cool lookin viper. I don't understand why all of the know it all 19 to 23 year old kids want to bitch and rag everybody's shit on here. They can all suck a dick... and probably do. lol Makes you wonder what they drive. ha ha

  • whats more impressive is that its under wet conditions. wow

  • Holy shit thats a fast car stock.

  • I love my 94 RT/10 and anyone thats hating on it just wants one that much more!!!

  • NOOO!!! you bought the wrong one!!! lol

    i love the '96 viper

  • The viper is the only real good thing to come from dodge since the early seventies so its hard for me tgo rag on it. The vipers are cool looking cars up close but at a distance a lot of them look like big versions of the avenger which was a sorry excuse for a sports car. I for that era I would have picked the trans am for looks and the torque. Be prepared to see some new interesting stuff though I work at a crysler/dodge plant.

  • Funny... you know nothing about Vipers. 50/50 weight ratio and constantly win on the road course. Do some research before commenting. Vipers put a G on the corners... Amazing cars.

  • I understand that it was a timed pass, however I'm sure there are many motorbikes that can beat a viper. Its all about weight to power ratio!

  • ...and with that kind of attitude, you'll always be a "Fanatic"... never an Owner.

  • @FORDGTFANATIC your one to talk. the ford gt looks like a squished blown up vagina with a 5.4 v8

  • looks ike ur viper got smoked man

  • Smoked by what? The bike? I wasn't racing the bike moron. This was a time only pass. I can tell you don't know anything about drag racing. Drive through please.....

  • ok dude stock vipers of that year do nott run 12.1.. even the new srt 10 vipers only run a 12.4 avg.. I'm pretty sure that year runs low 13's maybe 12.9 somethin like that.. you've got something done to it

  • Yes, stock Gen I Vipers averaged high 12's. However, I'm not new to drag racing and driving experience makes a difference with ET's. I do have a few mods, like K&N cone filters and exhaust, which gave my 5 rear wheel HP and 5 TQ on the dyno. Many stock Gen II's have hit high 11's, BONE STOCK, untoutched. I don't keep up with the Gen III world too much, but hear they are hitting 11's BONE stock too.

  • hahaha a guy thinks a Z will take a Viper. Hahaha what a goon. Viper will take all. I like the video to man, Great run on the strip to.

  • Damn crappy launch..

  • No, actually it was a great launch on those tires! Bald street tires... Now if they were slicks, that would be a bad launch, but you can't dump a clutch on street tires like I had on. You will accomplish nothing out of the hole. The goal is to get out of the hole with ZERO tire spin and roll into the throttle!

  • bike left it for dust

  • The bike and I were not racing... Obviously you don't know anything about a drag strip. This was a "Test & Tune" time, so yes, I could have been lined up next to a funny car and got beat. Your comment is irrelevant. I think your user name justifies your comments though. Thank you.... please drive through.

  • shit little guy dont get so touchy,

i dont really give a monkeys what you were doing

  • whos name are we talking about? frogy?

  • yeah the guy with the small cock

  • LOL.

  • I'm not touchy at all my friend.... Just trying to educate you, so you think next time before you reply with such stupid comments stained with poor grammer and punctuation.

  • Way to small of a burn out to warm up the tires, looked like a slow shift to 2nd also. From the video it looks like it can get much better times.

  • You don't do massive burnouts with street tires. Any drag racer knows that... You just spin street tires to get the water and pebbles off. Had they been slicks, a real burnout would have been necessary. Also I already spun the tires once but reversed the car back to do it again, so the video diesn't show the first burnout. You guys need to learn there is a big difference in running slicks and street tires at the drag strip.

  • vipers are so hot

  • FullMetalOne.... classic!

  • Actually, it's Fiberglass and some carbon fiber in the interior console.

  • man i feel sad for viper it a beat to slow

  • fuck you pino !!

  • I hate american cars!

  • i agree with pino:) it takes the viper, what- like 8liters to make that power! damn! what a waste of space!

  • Thats on a stock motor dude.... I guess you don't understand these motors can put down WELL over 1,000 horespower.

  • ..."these motors can put down WELL over 1,000 hp"

Awesome! the operative word here is CAN. And, you are starting with an $80,000 car. any idea what you could do with the extra cash, say, if i bought a $30,000 350z? ...ill catch your viper in my z :)

  • LOL! Your 350Z? LOL! I better tuck and run now!

  • exactly. because you hear the car, and think its stock is where people like yourself end up loosing their titles;) AND WE LOVE IT!

  • Show me a Viper from 1994 that still costs $80,000; even low mileage examples have depreciated down to the $30's-$40k's. Last time I was in a Nissan dealer they were asking right around $40k for a Z......So for around the same price of a new Z you can get a decent condition used Viper that will walk all over the 350....(im neutral because i love the Z too...just trying to make a point though)

  • but its still a z dude. NOT a viper! those cars are a dime a dozen and if your even trying to compare a "z" to a viper, dont. not even the same ball park, or sport.

  • also a 94 viper was 60k. not 80k. wtf?

  • Probably right about the price...although id bet $60k in 1994 is the equivalent of at least an $80k car in 2008 money. Im not comparing them, you mighta misread my comment...id take an older viper over a brand new Z anyday of the week, I was trying to make a point to someone who was trashing the Viper. I do appreciate both cars but the Viper is definitely cooler.

  • point taken well taken.
