Bach music (including "Arioso") does not require all these studio effects to be grand. In fact, they diminuish it ! The reverb is way too strong, Bach was The Musician, as guys in Middle-Age called Aristoteles "The Philosopher", not even Mozart, Scarlatti or Chopin reaches such magnificence. So his music can stand on its own, there is no need for studio post-processing, at least not like THIS ! Try listening to Arioso played on Cello LIVE by J.L. Webber, and see the difference !
@FreakinHorrorShow exactly.... webber makes the fine hairs on my forearm stand on end.... *shiver* i think the arioso sounds better on the cello with its liquid chocolate tone. and why did that comment "cello?" receive many negative votes?
Any chance of uploading more of Zanta's tracks please? Her cd's appear to be unobtainable outside of South Africa and even the store nominated on her website does not list any of the three produced so far. All listed concert dates leave me to wonder if she ever performs outside of South Africa. Very frustating as I think she has a great talent.
This is actually the song I have to play on MY violin for a solo contest and im only in 6th grade! But it is just sooooo dang awesome!!!!!! Very fun to play
Whenever I hear this beautiful composition of J S Bach there is is only one thought that comes to my mind: and that is we should always count our blessings inspite of all the turmoil and that we should strive for something far higher than material things. Spiritual elements should reign supreme.
I never heard more fascinating music. Zanta's interpretation of a centuries-old Bach composition is downright a hallmark of sensibility. Thanks Zanta.
its actually not that hard to play but you really have to work at it to get all the G sharps and G flats. but other than that, the song is AWESOME!!!! :-)
perfect interpretation !

This is actually a violin. Zanta Hofmeyr is one of South Africa's leading violinists.
"Arioso" is one of the tracks on the CD
