a game can take any were from 12 hours 2 a month to win depending on size, how much time you are playing, ai dificaulty pvp or pvc ect. it takes for ever but its fun and its adictive (crack pc!) but till its a great game

Game physics is too low in this game. It's physical effects looks like happening in an athmosphere. Haegemonia was way better about that.

dont get me wrong, this game is one of the most beautifully done space rts and i'm playing it, loving it.... but it is quite depressing to have such  great game without a continuous story line, one can only imagine if the developers made a serious plot ala homeworld or something that would increase game immersion, say expanding your emipre map per map building a trade network... now would that be something, definitely better than this skirmish mode right?

nope, most mods only changes the units and some controls BUT NOT adding campaign, this game practically offers only maps(lots of them), the thing is if and when you completed 3 or 4 maps you get easily bored 'cuz it feels just the same there's no story to follow, nothing for self immersion.... no doubt though, it has solid controls and stunning grapihcs...

this game rivals the homeworld series... the only problem is.. and be WARNED SP gamers... its practicaly a SKIRMISH game!!! dont expect any missions here and yes there's no campaign/story to play for, not even a single video/amv when you completed a map... map?... yes gameplay offers only a map and the only thing you have to do is wipe everybody else ass..

@redz27m true but is that really a problem? the game doesn't really need a story. The opening cinematic explains the events that lead up to this point. you're pretty much just playing in the middle of the war during the game. the expansions continue the story arc

I thought this game was so so. I felt it was a pretty good concept, but it just fell short in the real battles. Controlling your economy and resource gathering etc was executed really well, but the actual battling seemed more like take a glob of ships and just throw them at a planet. what i thought anyways.

@iorost Vasari's starbase is the hardest to beat. That base can move around, unlike the TEC and Advent. Advent has honing mines that can move towards ships and hard to kill even with scout ships. TEC has to rely on upgraded hanger defense and turrets to support their base, though their base can be upgraded to build ships.

@iorost they are the strongest in combat, (carriers are their best cap) and also once you get the phase stabaliser, you want them on every planet, then you can have 1 huge fleet.

Man that's Bullshit, this game deserves your money, its only like $29.95 even if you bought all three of the upcoming expansions it would still cost less than 1 Console game. Plus stardock is cool as shit, they dont use DRM on their games. they are one of the coolest most laid back, devs and publishers there are....dont do that man. At least not to these guys!
