When did health care reform become health INSURANCE reform?

When Nancy Pelosi told you to make the change.
What a tool you are, Congressman. You should be ashamed for answering to the most liberal member of the House (who happens to be the Speaker) instead of your constituents right here in Scottsdale - about as opposite as San Francisco as you can ever get.
Somehow though Congressman, that fact does not seem to have registered with you.
Actually, over the last several years, VA Healthcare has been celebrated for its excellence in healthcare, and this care is delivered at a much lower rate than the private sector.
We simply are currently in a system that cannot sustain itself. Our country no longer provides the best care in the world. As a matter of fact, we rank 37th- just behind Morrocco. We can do better.
If we're ranked 37th, why is it that Americans have a higher survival rate than any other country on earth for 13 of 16 of the most common cancers. Look into the Moroccan healthcare system and tell me that study is valid.
People from Canada, France, the UK, Germany and the Middle East come to America for health care.
Also, the touting the VA is a terrible method of selling this. Maybe we should look at how well the government runs the post office to get an idea how Obamacare will work.
Please consider that Congress is the problem with attempts to reform Health Care and not vocal Americans as the House and Senate leadership suggests.
Any effort in health care reform will be seen as another pay-off to special interests and powerful corporations. Distrust and frustration with criminal corporations and bankers protected by their partnership with our corrupt government will lead to Revolution.
Health insurance reform means socialized medicine by ANY of the options I have seen in DC. Stop the madness.
Focus on the key problems:
1) people not paying the true cost due to their silly actions (drinking, smoking, sleepin around, etc.). Premiums should be based on choices just like auto insurance
2) lawyers suing everyone left and right for silly things forcing Drs to have way way too many tests
3) Congress forcing hospitals to take uninsured patient
I just want to thank you for doing such a good job trying to keep in touch with the people you represent. The sound on this video is dreadful though. I do great work with video, not to mention graphic design. I'd love to help.

Don't worry Harry. You will receive my opinion in November of 2010 when I vote you out of office.
That goes for your son Mark as well. One way or another you are going to listen to the people in your district, not the special interests.

Congressmen Mitchell,
You've worked with the VA on improving the quality of care for our heroes who put their lives on the line for this country every day overseas.
You've seen the waste and the inefficiencies and the low quality of care.
Imagine 40 million Americans in the VA system. Or 300 million?
Universal Healthcare will bankrupt our nation just like it did in the UK.
Congress will be forced to print money or raise taxes. The CBO confirms this.
The solution is tort reform!
