Let the strings ring themselves, you do not need to pluck each time a note changes, use more hammer on, pull offs and let the bends change pitch themselves without plucking
Between the muff and the fuzz face which do you think can be used more for Gilmour solos overall? I understand he used both from early to later days but I can only get one ATM.
well i can tell u this for meddle, darkside, wish you were here, and animals he used a fuzzface(bc-108). he used the muff for his first few solo albums, animals, the wall and so on. For me i like the earlier stuff so i would go with a fuzzface, but if u get a muff you can do the early stuff too, it wouldn't sound bad at all. It mostly depends on what gilmour period you like the best.
i have a sovtek big muff that is modded. When i first got the black sovtek big muff i thought it would sound like triangle muff but it just sounded like a crappy overdrive pedal, so ig ot it modded to the 71 triangle muff fron ron sound. sounds great for animals, and the wall stuff!

Lots of your bends need to be more pronounced, accurate, and not so slow. Tone is good though, and whats to be expected with a Sound City?
