As long as Americans except Chinese products for a cheap price it will never stop. Take a look at Homelite, they used to make good saws and now people buy them because they are cheap! And then complain that they broke or their customer service is garbage. All because the consumer wanted to save a few bucks! We are now all a product of this now!

I have both stihl and husky, I would never buy another stihl unless you like buying carbs, and pulling like a tasmanian devil. Put on new carbs runs twice and shot again. Stihl stands for still a piece of crap, buy the china model can't be worse than the real thing. Buy a Husky...you won't be sorry.

For your information mate virtually every stihl product are now made/assembled in China, stihl ships all the components out to be assembled in China, as they can employ 70 Chinese workers to 1 German worker, this is a fact as I work in the business!

@MRWHITE3535 That is not correct. Stihl has a factory in Virginia Beach, VA where most of the equipment for North America is made. Stihl chains are made in Switzerland and most Stihl bars are made in Germany. They just recently built a bar plant in VA for some of their saws. Stihl also has factories in Brazil, Germany and yes, China. The China plant is for the Asia market. I have a relative that works for Stihl.

Thats actually a 52cc YD52 that is sold under a multitude of brand names. In my country they sell it as Yamada YD58. I bought and own one. At first it was weak and overheats fast. I cut open the muffler and it now worked like Stihl MS290 and stopped overheating. After 30days it wont start because the carb metering needle is stuck shut. I honed the needle seat and it now start easy. The recoil spring broke and I replace it with spring for Stihl MS440. Lots of mods but it now works fine.
