I was 11 years old when this song was around in 1967. I'm now living in England but I have the 45 somewhere in California, haven't heard it in aorund 40 years; I've thought of it's lovey tune and lyrics through the years.Such a beautiful song but not one of Pet Clark's better known songs.
Thanks so much for posting this, so many memories of my childhood....
Good one,Paul. What i loved about Pet Clark, when i was growing up in the 60s was her diction!! You could understand every word she sang. The only funny bit was rhyme ..demanding....in I couldnt live without your love.On Youtube, you can see a vid of Pet in 1949,wow, that is great to see.jk
@Babyhowdy233 You're quite welcome. I'm not normally keen on uploading other people's songs (I have only one other on my channel, and it's not likely anything you'd be interested in XD) but I couldn't find this anywhere on Youtube, so I put it up.
a Flo and Eddie song-also known as the Turtles. It was an album track for them and quite cute, but Pet clark took hold of it and justdelivered the hell out of it.A hit on Australian radio at the time. So good to hear this again, john from sydney
@paulg999 :Great stuff,Paul. Have you listened to her doing the stuff in French, German, Italian,Spanish or Portugues? Start with Inveco NO(San Remo festival 1966)...Its a beaut. jk
@SuperJohnnykay Credit to the Turtles for writing the song, which is also on YouTube, but Pet took it to another level. I will check out the foreign language stuff. Thx.
Petula Clark is the bet selling British female vocalist of all time.Although her biggest hits such as Downtown, My Love, Don't Sleep in the Subway and others are known by millions she also recorded little gems such as this one 'The Cat in the Window (the Bird in the Sky)'.Perhaps her greatest gift is the uncanny ability to sing in almost any style with feeling and conviction. This song was written by the writers of the song , 'Happy Together'.Petula's cover of that tune is also a treat.

This being a Warner Bros. release in North America one would think this is about Sylvester & Tweety.

Apologies to any Germans who may have wanted to view this. Apparently your country's blocked it. Sorry. :/
