he came back at the end, didn't he. In the last few years of life, he started putting together some of his better performances, nearly as superb as when he first burst on the scene in the late 40s. There were times in the 1960s when you could say Muddy wasn't really trying. He really tries on these sessions though. He leads the band brilliantly. I just wish there was film of these sessions. The music here represents the work of a lifetime.
