Bardot was ( and probably still is) so graceful and charming. She was trained as a dancer as a child and I think the grace and poise she learnt enhanced her natural beauty and helped to make her so special and confident There is a sweet and playful chemistry between them.

All of the sour grapes attitudes about a woman who is extraordinary as a beauty and as a free spirit WOW! The women should be ashamed of themselves for their shallow & catty comments about a woman who was so beautiful! So what if she did not care how she aged ~ I'll bet these commentaries are made by people who NEVER WERE beautiful, not now, not then, and not ever! The men, well they are just stupid. BB was & is fantastic so there all of you who wish it were so about you!

Bardot was remarkably attractive through her twenties and some of her 30s and then became really weird looking. She had a great face for a young girl, but not for a middle-aged woman. She also overdid it on the eyeliner, which made her look tired.

@chapaev36 I kind of know what you mean, her face hardened and seemed to become much fuller or wider. She partied hard, was quite a heavy smoker and also attempted suicide on more than one occasion. So when you consider this and the fact that she was almost 40 here, she's still in pretty good shape. Especially as women aged ahead of there time back then. She still had a fantastic figure up until she was in her 50s, and such a thick mane of hair.

@zulusafari1 She's 39 here, she was born in September 1934. So yes, I'm aware she's 76 now. She was a stunningly gorgeous woman in her day and will always be an icon. She has a right to grow old gracefully, change and evolve as we all do. Some women choose cosmetic surgery and facelifts, some don't. In the end it's what's inside that matters and also how you see yourself. I've always thought her to be an intelligent, classy lady, even if some of her opinions are controversial.

@BardotQueen Why thank you, I will. I've always loved BB, not just for the incredible beauty and charisma she possessed, but for her free spirit. I don't speak French but she always comes across as incredibly articulate and with an insightful intelligence, in interview translations. I know her views in recent years have been somewhat to the 'right' and unpopular, but as an animal lover I admire her dedication to this cause. She's also the same sign as me 'Libra' , so that makes me bias :)

@mjdsmudge Brigitte is unpopular in the media (less and less each year thanks to the tributes like the exhibition) but people really love her ! There is a poll wich show that 70% of french like her. (This poll also appears in a LA Times article...)

Because some fans like her for her beauty, some for her movies, some others for her "big mouth", some others for her activism.

Clever people like her for all of that ! ^^
