  • Do you think you could do a vid on winter/fall fashion, i fund that it is more dificult to style 40s 50s clothing for fall and winter thank you so much!

  • any recommendations for a wedding? I'm a bridesmaid for my bestfriend and would really like to wear a vintage styled dress with a floral print. something under $100?

  • @twishybird...try Heartbreaker or Le Bomb Shop.

  • That red dress is my absolute fav! I had been looking for a dress like that because I love boat necks as well. I was skeptical about purchasing but seeing it on you I am sold! :o)

  • HI, you mentioned "Arliss Allen shoes, I have a question: since all their shoes are suede/leather soles, does this make them really slippery to wear? (esp. if your not dancing but just walking about i.e. regular life) Does my question make sense? :)

    Thanks

  • @corinnabambina yep! They're slippery. :)

  • the other moms must hate you

  • @ihatehighfives lol...I hope not!

  • The red dress is gorgeous, however the darting makes it look like you are a bit cold (if you know what i mean). Is it just the lighting, or do you also notice that the dress "points" here.

  • @jtho155...nah. Must be the lighting. Not that it would matter...snowcone boobies were popular in the 50's!

  • They are all so gorgeous! I do think that the first dress would have less of a waist issue if you wore it lower? It looks as if the halter is supposed to go a bit lower down in the bust, which puts the waist tie in the same place as the red dress. Nice to know about the waist ties too: back ties are a no-go for anyone who sits in a desk chair all day. Well, at least for me, they create a bump that's uncomfortable to lean back against. They all look so wonderful on you though.

  • @helloukulele If I wear it lower, it seems to not fit as well in the bust. Catch 22. :)

  • @LisaFreemontStreet Bummer! Even so, it still looks absolutely darling on you.

  • This just came on my ipod as I walked home. I thought I wonder why Lisa Freemont not used it in a video. Walk through the door to check youtube and what do I find?! If I were the sort of person who believed in fate I'd say it were a sign.

  • Dear Ashley: You have always been my inspiration and you continue to be with every video, more and more. Please, never stop being like you are, so true to yourself, and continue to make us happy with your great YouTube presence.

  • @Fancylooks Thanks so much! Wow! You are such a sweetie.

  • I love heartbreaker! Awesome video!

  • LOVE the Astro dress!!!!!

  • Beautyful as always.

  • I love that you're doing these fashion videos! Especially because I am a mother of 4, too (7yrs, 5yrs, 4yrs & 2yrs) and it helps me to remember that there are nice clothes that are just as easy to wear as "comfy" clothes (i.e. baggy workout pants and a big tshirt). And I know that when I actually put adult clothes on, I feel a hundred times better about me. So thank you for keeping me inspired AND motivated.

  • Thank you lisa the dresses are so nice I'm going to get me a few of those outfits thank you so much.

  • I absolutely love the red dress and the astro dress.

  • your videos always make me smile. i feel like i'm traveling back in time (meant in the best way possible!)

  • love the clothes! May I ask what did you where when you where pregnant? Im pregnant right know and i find it hard to find vintage like clothing to wear..

  • @MissSuzzeh see my retro rockabilly maternity fashion tips video.

  • Wow! The red dress looks STUNNING on you! So classy :)

  • The astro dress is to die for and you look beautiful in it...:-)

  • Loooove the Astro dress!! So gorgeous! I don't know how you do it! I have 3 kids, a 5 yr old son and 2 1/2 yr old twin girls and I can barely muster up the energy to take a shower sometimes, let alone do my hair and makeup. You are gorgeous! You are just a picture of a classic 50's woman. :)

  • @meyersmedley Well, my kids are 12, 7, 3, and 9 mos. So they're spaced to where two are in school every day and when they're all home, the oldest helps out a lot. I have those hectic moments too, believe me! I am strictly routined so I do make sure I have at least a few minutes of 'alone time' per day. You can do that too! Put the kids in bed and take a hot bath, set your hair (even if you aren't going anywhere the next day), etc. You'll be shocked how pretty you feel!

  • Thank you for another wonderful video!

  • I knew the red was going to be your favorite because it was mine the minute you walked out! Stunning! Your body language really gives away (in a good way) when you feel good in something and you were glowing in the red dress. I have never heard the term blousy- does it mean full? I get what you were saying, but wanted to be sure.

  • @lisaturtle13 yes...roomy...loose fitting etc.

  • I loveeee their dresses. All of these pieces look so beautiful on you, you look so slim, tall and slender! I have to place an order soon :D What's great about Heartbreaker Fashion is that it at least appears to me so many of their dresses, skirts and tops can be worn OUT, to work, or just around. I neeeeeed them!

  • Four kids and you take time to look fabulous! Congrats!

  • thumbs up for four kids!!! lol. i have four kids, too. i love their designs, but it seems like unless i want to wear black, they don't have much in the way of color that would be flattering for a cool/winter complected gal such as myself. all those creams and mosses and pastels are pretty, but not on me. :( i look better in crisp colors like black, white, navy, jewel tones....most of their stuff seems to be in softer colors.

  • You look like Joan from Mad Men with the red dress :).

  • four kids????? omg you are sooo young!!

  • @rechita not really...lol

  • These dresses are gorgeous (and you look amazing in them!)! I don't like wearing dresses, except for formal occasions...I think I may have to invest in something like the Astro dress so I can wear it somewhere fun! :)

But, being a full-figured gal, I'm a bit scared that vintage-style dresses wouldn't suit me...

  • @TheLivwell2 They are typically the best kind to wear because they give you a figure! Especially w/ the proper undergarments.

  • @TheLivwell2 I think it's much easier to get a flattering fit in a skirt or dress than in pants.

  • Thank you for sharing! I'm 5'2", so I have to have just about everything altered. It's always an option and recommended if you're paying a lot for a piece. Make that investment make you feel fabulous, right?

    :-)

  • Wow 4 kiddies! Where did you get your knit halter bra? I have been looking for one for a larger bust. Thanks love the videos!

  • @sexylilaprons It's a nursing bra from japanese weekend! But probably not good for someone who needs a whole lot of support, unfortunately.

  • you look tall in the astro dress. how tall are you? That's my favorite!!!

  • @vgfigue I'm 5ft 6 in.

  • So most woman that have not had children are probably jealous of your figure, so the fact that you've had 4 just adds insult to injury hahaah!! I love it though speaking as a mommy of 2 you def give me motivation to look my best:). Btw I looove the red dress too!!

  • are there any for teen agers??

  • @IndieDream231 This is a strange question, to me? Most companies don't have a 'teen' section. Unless maybe you ean 'Junior Sizing'...but this company has measurements available so you don't have to do any guesswork. I think these dresses are all very young....

  • @LisaFreemontStreet like does any of the companies make retro and vintage inspired clothing for people that is a size 0?

  • It's been said but dang! Your body is perfect for these dresses. I'm jealous.

  • The dresses are lovely, especially the red dress.

  • i love that last dress so much! it looks great on you

  • That red dress is ALL you! Looks fabulous!

  • I absolutely adore these "In the Dressing Room" videos! I loved all of the pieces, but that red dress is just beautiful!

  • Love, love, love your videos! We never hear about husband is he into vintage also? I love the red dress. I notice that some of the new fall runway fashions are very retro!!!!

  • @viennadawn yes he is. He typically wears hats and sport jackets most places.

  • I LOVE the red dress!

  • Lisa, you are such an inspiration! Thank you so much for posting all of these wonderful tutorials and reviews!

  • Very pretty!!! Love them!!

  • HOT PATOOTIE!! That figure!!!!!

  • @burlesqueboy1940 tee hee! THanks, dollface. :)

  • Hello, Lisa, you are my insipration!:)

I'm wondering, maybe you know where can I find some vintage style hair pins? Thank you very much:)

  • You are such a classy beautiful woman. I absolutely love your style. And I sincerely consider you one of my role models :) I hope that when I am older I can look as stunning as you do after four children. Great videos! keep it up :)

  • shooooot!! for having four kids you are one hot mom!! :)

  • @elvisrocs88 Thanks! lol....

  • @elvisrocs88 Thanks! lol....

  • Thank you for this video! I love vintage clothing, but I'm very wary of ordering vintage online, because of sizing. If you don't mind, can you please tell me what sizes you wear in dresses, jeans/pants & shirts in 'normal' clothing? I am 5'2" & I'm a size 6/8 in jeans. I'm small busted, very short-waisted & carry my extra weight in my stomach & backside...

  • @cherryjewel It always varies...in some brands (designer brands like Ann Klein for instance), I'm a 4. At Target, Old Navy etc I wear an 8. I'm usually a medium at those places. My measurements are 36/29/38 if that helps.

  • I love this series! :D I have the Diner dress from Heartbreaker and it's my favorite dress. The fabrics are great quality and the prints are woven into the fabric so the prints don't fade!

  • thanks for the info i love vintage stuff love ur vdeos

  • Oh I so wish I was an hourglass shape instead of a crappy apple shape! I'd kill to wear dresses like this :)

  • the red one is my fav, beautiful

  • The dresses are lovely. :)

  • Hi there, love what you do, thank you so much!

When you have to put on a dress over your head and your hair and makeup are done, you can protect them with a large silk scarf or foulard.

I´ve seen models do this on shows, and it works perfectly.

  • @TheHan0373 Thanks! Yeah, I know that actually. But it is easier to get dressed first! haha.

  • love the red dress and the last one

  • I'm sure I've said it before, but I really love this series. It's very helpful to see clothing on someone... moving around in it. I also like how well you describe the fit, etc. Nicely done!

  • I love the dresses, they are gorgeous! :) I have a question though, I'm short (5'1) and curvy, would a style like the red boat-neck dress look good with a bigger bust? or maybe it wouldn't flatter me much? My dresses are usually a V-neck cut but I really love that dress style.

  • @ThePeanats90 I think a boat neck REALLY looks good on a busty gal because they minimize the bust and draw attention instead to your face and waist line!

  • @LisaFreemontStreet Thank you for the tip! :D I'll be sure to look into them, because to me it's a classy style that won't go out of fashion. And they are extremely elegant too.

  • I LOVE that second dress! I have something like that in light blue, which I wear with a light pink headband and I love it!! And I really like the red and blue dress that you bought - the sleeves are so cute. Keep up the dressing room series, I'm really enjoying it! And I'm a medium too, it's nice to see things on a normal-sized lady :o)

  • These dresses look SO pretty on you!! I think dresses like these, which are fited around the waist suit you the best because you have a thin waist! Love them :)
