I was just saying that inside dogs are more likely to scare someone and protect than an outside dog. Statistics say so. I was being sarcastic when I said a tree. That's great that your dog can still protect you, but in general most guard dogs are better inside the house.

@kimthefamedactress You have done research and such and that's nice... But it's fine to let a dog live outdoor as well as it's okay to let them live indoor. You criticize Dalusional but look at the breed, Akita's can be destructive when bored for too long, so keeping it outside is probably a lot safer for the dog and less costly for the owner. Having water and shade during the summer is just fine, Akita's have a double coat so it's warm during the winter. Enough with this argument.

@ActionBEK As long as the dog has everything it needs and more, the dog is always comfortable and has adequate shelter and freedom to move, and the owners are outside for several hours a day, then go ahead and keep the dog outside, depending on breed. But she is truly delusional believing all dogs belong outside and that it's wrong to kiss a dog or allow it on the bed, and thinking she knows everything about them. A lot of destructive breeds live inside the house, just saying.

Kissing your dog or letting it lick you isn't nasty just because you think it is. There are different dogs, different ways to grow dogs, but there's nothing bad about kissing your dog or letting it stay inside - neither there is keeping him out, if he still does have everything he needs in there, and the temperature isn't too cold, and it doesn't have to be there all the time alone.

They like to be with their "pack", not isolated outside. There are problems that can result from being kept outside 24/7. Keeping him outside is not treating him like family.
