@thestuffz Since this video was posted, we've tried a number of additions to the bottom to give her better control in water. Ice was never a huge priority, but we may fiddle a bit more with it this winter before the ice goes away.
Hey i got an idea for a project that would be really cool. A hovercraft. Like the ones the military use. You can use the propulsion and steering from this project.
Hilarious, as a Florida person, my first thought was what happens if the engine fails out there. We'd just wade out into the water, but the string & weight thing was a good idea. I think I'd be a little more accurate with a similarly equipped bait caster...
@stratorat79 We've had engine failures/strandings in all conditions! It's challenging sometimes to come up with recovery ideas. Longest ever was our submarine sinking to the bottom of very cold water for ten days - fortunately some divers came along and helped us out!
@iSOisoleucine Ohhh man. This is such an old model at this point that the plans are probably long-gone. There are a few photos on our website, though! Check the video description for the link.

@Meldola07 Hey thanks! We did some pretty aggressive cutting on this video because so often, the airboat is so far away (and resolution is so low) that the boat is just a blot. Glad you liked it!

@Rapidnadion Yes it was. Even though it is a hovercraft it is a single prop job and it acted very similar to your airboat on the ice!
