  • Religion is biggest problem in this world, with time everything should become logical but religion puts you back.

  • I'm muslim and I have no prob going through screening. I don't wear a turban. A head covering for men is not obligitary in my faith. And I don't think it'll hurt these sikh guys to remove the turban just for a few seconds. Its really no big deal, they screen all americans.

  • Im american, Im not afraid of terrorism. I dislike the TSA as they are against every thing the US stands for. They should be abolished. Yes Indians you are being profiled, yes it is unconstitutional and unethical. The CIA agent is a liar.

  • sikhs died so they could wear there articles of faith. there was a time were the british tried to outlaw the kirpan, religious dagger worn by sikhs. a little child went to the court he said if you can make me cry you can ban kirpans. they beat the child but couldent make him cry and they realized how important it was to them so they dident ban them. sikhs have died and faced extinction so they could practice there religion freely . sikhs understand freedom and equality more than any religion

  • Why do Christians have to remove crucifixes? None of the terrorists on 9/11 were christians. My constitutional rights are being violated. None of the terrorists wore crucifixes. They all read the Koran, not the bible.

  • @daytraderfbf Right.... Because Timothy McVeigh read the Koran and not the Bible.

  • @daytraderfbf actueley the goverment planned 9/11 so it was christians :]

  • @daytraderfbf Sorry Sparky. All the hijackers were muslim, not christian.

If you look at the last 40 years of terrorism in the world, they were all done by you people.

Osama bin laden wore a turban. Do you always spread lies and b.s.?

  • Comment removed

  • If a 4 year old needs to remove his leg braces and crawl through , what is wrong with turban removal? Don't you think that 4 year old sufferred humiliation?

Children wearing leg braces did not attack the U.S. on 9/11.

  • @daytraderfbf Yes and it wasn't turban wearing pilots who bombed the twin towers.

  • Turban's be removed?? ALLAH be praised

  • Fox news are being real pussies with this whole TSA molestation. Every TSA official is throw puff questions and they are allowed to evade, lie and trample our right without the FOX new anchor blinking and eye. The morning jackoff even said that there are ONLY 68 airports fondling and grouping US citizens, like that was OK?

  • they arent even Muslim. god daamn TSA is stupid

  • What I want to know is when this "post-9/11 era" will end. End the United States of Fascism!

  • Fuk FOX

  • Biggest bullshit, period! Same incident happened in my home country the other day, where a turban wearing gentelmen made a big deal taking off his turban. Now listen I am proud Catholic, if it is a policy I also have to sacrifice my rights I wear a wedding band and cross necklace that I rarely take off, when flying I put the ring and my cross into the security tub. Will I go to hell because I took off my necklace, will I get a divorce for taking ring off for a full 2 min? Take the turban off!!

  • THIS CIA OPERATIVE IS FILLED WITH IGNORANCE. N HAS NO CLUE ABOUT THINGS THAT HE IS COMPARING AND TRYING TO SOLVE WITH PREMISES IN THOUGHTLESS ANALOGIES

  • LOL FOX MAKES UP NEWS THERE IS NO ANGRY PROTEST IN TEST THAT CLIP IN THE BEGINNING IS DIFFERNT SLIP ABOUT SOMETHING ELSE TYPE THIS IN THE SERACH AND LOOK FOR YOUSELF FOX MAKES UP NEWS AND TELL LIES "Scores of Sikhs take to streets in New Delhi"

  • I'm Sikh and I can see why people don't understand Sikhi. But like the comments here say nobody had an issue with Sikhs wearing turbans in World War one and two when Sikhs were put on the front lines. Nobody had an issue with the Khalsa Fauj wearing turbans when the Mughals/Muslims when they were preventing daughters and sisters from being raped. Where ever there is oppression people know they can call on Sikhs to help.

  • I should caveat my previous comments: I think Sikhs are cool. They're a warrior culture, born and bred to fight Muslims. I respect the hell out of that. Unfortunately, I also believe that people should assimilate to the culture to which they join. Searching turbans when boarding planes isn't unreasonable.

  • This is retarded. It's another piece of clothing... no more intrusive than me taking off my shoes.

  • dont tell me it takes you 10 to 15 minutes to wear your shoes

  • Actually, I wear my shoes all day. Or did you mean something else?

  • give me a break

its safety , turban or not , its needs to be checked ,

we live in the times of no safety at all

Darn that thing can hold a whole lots of contraband items, if worse come to worse , can they not scan the head in the same machine that scans the luggage lol

  • no1 is denying that it needs to be checked.

THe problem is with the way it is done and the open window that it leaves that leads to prejudice and racial profiling.

  • Screw this turban headed idiot...if 80 yr old woman and 3 yr old children can be patted down...so can these unbathed greasy pigs. Stay in freekin India if you don't like the way we do things here.

  • Did even one of the attackers have a turban in nine eleven.

  • nope, not a single one of the 19.

  • Obviously Rajbir Datta doesn't know what he is talking about when he is saying it's profiling...

  • I agree with the one who said that no one knows what a terrorist looks like and what means a terrorist will use to attack. They will try anything and everything. Therefore, screening must be done thoroughly. By now, there is already an improved way of screening turban and there is no need to take the turban off anymore.

  • "Those who sacrifice liberty for some temporary security deserve neither liberty nor security"

    -Benjamin Franklin.

  • final word to you !!!!

  • am muslim and i think this is terrible

most muslims dont even wear turbans but loads of sikhs do sikhs

and bombers that boarded the plane werent even wearn turbans

  • You just pointed out a TSA rule. No one knows what a terrorist looks like. Look at Mohamed Atta. So ANYONE could be. In europe, family members have been kidnapped and used as leverage to send an old person into a mall strapped to a bomb belt or their family members will be killed. They even strap on a bomb belt to a mentally challeged person and tell them to enter a building because Santa's inside with a special gift for them. Then they dial the cell phone attached to the bomb. Get it now?

  • Sacred is just an idea... it's relative... it means as much as a person says it does and no more.

  • i am not a sikh but i think this wrong i mean its part of there religion and that is racist is like calling a black man the n

  • sikhs are not scared of anything if they have a weapon it will be in their hands but sikhs cares about the people they will never ever hurt anyone unless somebody did or said something wrong about them.

  • A Sikh could never hide a weapon let alone an explosive under his turban. Because that alone is sacrilegious to the Sikh faith. A turban for a Sikh is meant to protect unshorn hair. Its another thing if a Sikh chooses to tuck his ceremonial 'kirpan'(which is visible) in his turban when taking a dip at the Golden Temple

  • The Sikh is not the problem! It's the terrorist who dresses up and poses like a Sikh. Instead of putting long hair wrapped up inside his turban, he hides plastic explosive. Plastic explosive is not metal, it won't set off a metal detector. If TSA doesn't pat down the turban, it's like letting someone go through with a plastic explosive bomb belt hidden under robes and if they aren't patted down, they now have one component in past the check point. Even cowboy hats come off. Now get the reason?

  • The window of racial prejudice and profiling with this is HUGE.

Dont you think TSA should invest in technology that can scan something without having to remove it. I mean they are funded with the tax payers money if i am not wrong they are their to serve them 2. Terahertz rays maybe??

And your cowboy hat doesnt take 10-15 minutes to put on. Get the reason??

  • Wearing a turban (or a cowboy hat) is a choice. Why should the U.S. government fund special technology for your choices?

If it's an issue of 10-15 minutes to put back on, that's your personal inconvenience. Get over it.

  • THAT IS CUZ THOSE SIKHS ARE US CITIZENS and they pay taxes just like everyone else. How about alleviating them of those taxes that they pay because they are not being put to good use for them.

simply tellin them to "get over it" wont solve the problem and they wont stop wearing those turbans. Sacrificing interests of minorities is an idiotic thing to do .....Why dont TSA invest in better technology or involve sikhs in the search process so that they dont feel alienated?

  • Wrong again, 323646737. The U.S. Government has no business granting special rights or privleges to members of any religious group. Everyone submits to search if you want to fly in a plane. Don't want to be searched - take a bus.

  • Last time i checked buses dont travel international except only some places. I am saying this again that there is no problem with the searches if the window of racial prejudice is eliminated and it can be, if TSA stop being a lazy ass.

P.S - Maybe SIkhs should have been told that they would not be allowed to keep their turbans when they were fighting for the allied cause during the world wars. But no back then they were useful and now just like everything else they are expendable.

  • 1. Getting on a plane is an optional activity. However, as a "white" male, I get stopped and patted down occasionally, too. Can I cry racial prejudice like the rest of the whiners?

    2. Your "P.S." is poor debating. But, since you brought it up, if we would have known about the September 11, 2001 attacks during World War I and II, I guess we could have advised the Sikhs then.

  • Why not just put it on after you cooperated with their annoying game? If I was wearing a hat, and they asked me to take it off, I would.

  • You are a complete idiot maybe you should learn more about the sikh religion. To them wearing a turban is sacred.

  • Turban and hat are totally 2 different things telling us to take are turban off is disrespectful to our religion.

  • it doesnt take u 10 to 15 minutes to wear ur hat right?

  • the turban for us is like a piece of our clothing or daily uniform. Without it we are naked..why is it so hard to understand that. It's like asking someone to strip down to nothing while traveling..not only highly inconvenient(because it is a 5-7 m cloth which takes a good while to tie back on), but very embarrassing not something a Sikh expects while traveling.

  • Most Muslims dont even wear turbans...I feel terrible that so many Sikhs have been attacked after 9/11 because of the actions of radicals who werent even Sikh

  • Then ask for private screening. Why do you feel you deserve special privledge?

  • there has never been a problem with turbans before the 9/11 era. Suddenly terrorists who boarded planes NOT WEARING ANY HEAD COVERING has allowed for the TSA to label the turban as a security threat. Sikhs have nothing to do with Islam, and our turbans are completely different from the turbans very few muslims wear. STOP THE STEREOTYPING

  • if you have nothing to hide remove the turban if you have something to hide don't better yet don't ware one at all if you are traveling simple as that you know how these people think . I don't think someone would smuggle drugs, a bomb or anything in a turban I am a woman I ware african hair wraps and believe me the hair wrap is heavey enought sitting on your head, who in would stuff a explosive in there? besides I don't believe arabs blew up the twin towers, america need to stop playin !

  • i'm not one of these guys, but i gotta ask, if you're a christian, would you throw a cross in the fire?

  • It was all bush. He knocked them towers down.

  • i don't think he is that smart to do that

  • Many know that you are correct but unfortunately it will never make it out of the conspiracy theory bin.

Isn't it funny how Bush asked all us good American to not go listening to any zany conspiracy theories? Kinda funny how he said it all specific and that.

  • DO u think it is that easy...for god sakes it takes 15 mintues to tie that thing...

If it was that easy ....Sikhs wouldnt care.....but it is not.

  • No I don't think it's easy to tie a turban on your head but I do think it's easy to not ware one on the airplane in order to fly somewhere.

  • Christ we are never going to be secure, people need to realize this. And yes, Fox News and their lapdogs are the most biased thing to come down the pike since Rush

  • Fox news is perhaps the most biased shows in the planet today. It is so damn obvious that Fox news, and this so called 50/50 news un-biased reporter was helping the cause of the Neocon - the reason why America is hated today.

  • Leave it to Fox News to present fair and balanced CRAP!

  • I HATE AMERICAN POLICY!!

  • then get out.

  • that dipshit at 1:33, got reasons, hey if the pope passed through there, they wouldnt ask him to take his "hat" off, would you ask a priest to remove his clothes becauz you have suspicion of a bomb. So yea, you fucKING flatop, what makes an american an american? just becuz your skin isnt pink, and that you dont have blonde hair doesnt mean that you arent an american.

  • I understand flashman66 but dont u ever think that they check the turbans cuz ppl in the middles east wear turbans!

  • We are just regular people like you, we have bake sales, show pictures of our kids, go to the movies and shop for food. I like that I have a job where I feel I do a small part to keep folks (including the man in this interview) a little safer.

  • I'm not saying that there aren't officers that may have not acted professional or have handled certain situations poorly, but I assure you we are always given cultural awareness training and are reminded to try and respect all passengers. even the irate ones.

  • And just because someone is wearing a turban does not mean they are a Sikh. Anyone could put on a turban if they know it can be used to successfully bring in a threat. People with ill intent watch us (TSA) all the time to use weaknesses in security like that.

  • Headgear that has enough space to conceal non metal threats is what is singled out. Is it fair that a cowboy hat has to be screened, but a turban does not? A person that is NOT screened because of the turban would be profiling. I realize it's a bigger issue when it is a religious item, but no one is making them fly.

  • do you know how a turban is wrapped? its tightly wrapped cloth. Key word = Tightly! There is little room for c-4 in there :P

And quit targetting Sikhs; Muslims performed 9-11 (not that all muslims are bad) but at the very least, if these ppl are going to profile, at least get the cultures right.

  • and of course only a sikh would ever wear a turban right, someone wanting to smuggle weapons through security could never buy a foe turban and hide things in it right! oh my goodness your an idiot.

  • It's actually more idiotic to wear a turban to try to smuggle something past security... why would a terrorist want to look like the American stereotype of the terrorist? Seems rather risky, no? By the way, it's "faux", not "foe"; and "you're" not your. But what do I know, I'm an idiot. *rolls eyes*

  • Also, Sikhs are not singled out as this man says. HeI don't mean to be rude here, but most of these comments are ignorant. Firstly, don't blame TSA. We don't make the rules. Washington does. Second, Headgear only has to be removed if patting down can't resolve it. Private screening is available whenever additional screening is done. Even bags.

  • Thank you xdivineknightx for responding to my comment the way you did and I quote you "someone could hide something in there. shut your face." Like I said welcome to the culture of fear...I rest my case.

    Amen

  • what nonsense! this is blatant marginalization of a minority group that has a vastly different physical appearance. The avergage american probably has a higher percentage of being hit by a car than being killed by a sikh guy carrying explosives in his turban but american society/media focuses on these kinds of things to give the public a false sense of 'security' taking away from something that may be an ACTUAL risk. welcome to USA - the culture of fear.

  • it is not nonsense, someone could hide something in there. shut your face.

  • Sadly to say that post 9/11, this is another form of structuralized violence against a marginalized community. If there was an ounce of rationality behind this decision, I would accept it; however, individuals can hide dangerous materials on various parts of their bodies. The question is why are head coverings the sole target for searches?

  • non-americans, so we are now non-Americans I guess

  • This new TSA policy is racist under the disguise of national security. Other countries don't have such a absurd rule mandating people with turbans to remove it in public.

  • This policy first off is not limited solely to turbans but applies to any form of head coverings which could allow for concealing something under or inside them. The removal of head wear is not mandated, and if it is deemed necessary the option of doing so in a private area away from public view is always offered and available.

  • Still it is demeaning to the Sikhs for example you don't ask a woman to strip nude because of security and more thing no other country in the world has such a ridiculous rule where they ask people to take off their religious headgear....... My advice to you is before making a stupid comment first go and learn about the Sikh religion.

  • I don't intend this comment to be an excuse for the government to perform their screening practices prior to boarding an airplane, but as an american I believe that in order to ENSURE safety, the procedures must be done to everyone without exception. United States its a nation that takes side towards our constitution and not towards any political parties nor religion nor culture. US is about freedom and protecting "the right to live" is part of our freedom not only as citizens but as humans.

  • WHATEVER HAS TO BE DONE TO ENSURE SAFETY, SHALL BE DONE TO EVERYONE WITHOUT EXCEPTIONS, there are ways to keep respect among different religions/cultures/political belives without compromising on board safety.

  • Ok I suggest TSA start strip searching every passenger - everything off.

Why the fuck would a terrorist hide a bomb under a turban. Thats just idiotic.

  • it'll be a breach not to think so.

  • Why would a terrorist hide a bomb in shoe? It's equally idiotic... but it happens.

  • Our fellow Sikhs in India have to understand that screaming and jumping up and down like crazy people does not help our cause, nor does it give a proper representation of Sikhism. We should try to educate people about Sikhism in a proper way.

  • TSA does not understand that asking a Sikh to remove a turban is in violation with the constitution because it infringes on the ability of an individual to practice his or her religion & in Sikhism, the turban is never to be removed. Besides, what reports or information does TSA and the CIA have that suggests that Sikhs (or Turbaned individuals) are smuggling in explosive material. 99% of turban wearing people are Sikhs and they are not a terorr threat to the United States.

  • @simrin530 well unfortunately we all suffer from this.

  • @simrin530 What about me having to remove my cross?

  • "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

    -Benjamin Franklin

what would our founding fathers think of the freedom we're revoking in the name of "safety" today?

this is just shameful of TSA, and this CIA wacko has probably never been outside his white-washed neighborhood in his life.

go SALDEF! it's going to be an uphill battle!
