  • how did u get that live stream videofram in Labview. please tell me.

  • is that your actual robot

    ours .... well yah

  • OK, I'll humor you.

No, that is our robot from 2 years ago. You wil notice that the first comment on this video was from 3 months ago. Our team was a Beta Test team so we had the contol hardware in October of last year.

  • oh didn't realize

so how is your lunacy robot doing

  • Are you guys using Labview or C++ to do this? and are you using the provided vision tool?

  • This is just using a VERY early version of the Dashboard. This live video mode will probably NOT be available during a real competition.

  • Can the camera find specific colors easily? We haven't set up our camera yet.

  • Do you experience any lag from the camera?

We set ours up but have a pretty bad 2-3 second video lag, while this looks almost completely real-time.

  • This was a slight lag, but not several seconds. You may want to check the frame rate that it is being sent. Mine was set at 15 FPS. You change it in the ROBOT code.

  • Alrighty, we have also had some problems getting color out of the camera, it keeps resetting itself to black and white no matter what setting we change. Also, we attempted to FPS change to no avail.

  • I've heard of this problem with another team. Your camera is BAD. Time to start the process of returning it for replacement. Don't delay.

  • I think the actual video quality is pretty good (better than most streaming video cameras I've used). Click on the "Watch in High Quality" link under the video to get a better look.

The screen image is only 320x240 (it's configurable) and I am using a digital still camera with a video option to record.

My original video was 40+MB and i'm sure the YouTube video is a LOT less than that.

  • Is the AXIS 206 camera quality poor because that's how it was origionally, because you have a video of a computer screen, or due to Youtube's compression?

(by poor, I mean pixelated, tending towards gradients and primary colors rather than shades and solid colors)
