My kitty is getting this dried buggers around d his nose and is sneezing a lot a fur does not look that healthy..... He is only 3 and goes to the vet 1 every 6 months for a check up................... WHATS WEONG WITH MY BABY!!!!?????!!! : ' (

@390kylie i have a kitten that i took to the vet yesterday with the sane symptomes and they told me he had cat herpes. Alote of cats have it and you dont know it be if your cat got stressed then its posible it waked up the herpes. Or maybe he just caugth it from another cat if he got outside. There is really nothing to do... it will never go away you can try to keep him calm and not stresse and clean his eyes and nose like the woman said in this video. Good luck i hope he gets better <3

Thank you so much! I got a kitten from a shelter and he has been very sick for the last few days, and today we are taking him to the vet... I'm keeping him warm with a blanket, wiping his nose and eyes, and making sure Teddy is feeling loved~

My cat 3 years old She got little cold sick. My dad gave her medicine. She sneeze lot. After we left then next days after school I came back I saw my cat not move she died. Oh no :(. We get her to hospital. Cat was alive but she tired and very sick. Next days my dad said maybe she will back life or not but she not woke up. My cat have problem breath her lungs feel like burn. There something about Air virsus I dont know. I hope she will life back. I feel like wait about 4 days

Lol she didn't get the food in the cat's mouth. Scruffing a cat doesn't work very well. If you hug the cat, hold its head up and stick the syringe at the cat's back teeth they'll open their mouths enough for you to get food in.

I'm currently treating a former stray, and another that lives inside our house. Another suggestion - wrap the cat in a large towel before you administer the meds - this helps keep them from contained as you are giving them the meds.

rescue remedy for pets helped my cat w/ a cold. pollen count wash high. of course the sick cat if outdoor cat wil have to be tested for feline leukemia. your cat looks a little heavy & apparently likes to eat even when sick..prob. a indoor cat. when the cat gets well, i like to make it harder to get to the food, requiring jumping up on a table or two, and eating food that corn is not listed as a main ingredient.

All my cats got a super contagious cold, one of them is starting to heal up but that might just be because he got antibiotics. And guess what... it costed $200.00 for one 5 minute checkup and one antibiotic prescription. Honestly the other cat's cold get super bad we simply can't afford to take them in to the vet. We'll have to put them down. Which would be really sad considering I've raised all of them since birth, one of them I've had since I was only a tyke..so it's really going to suck..

why would you give antibiotics to a cat that has a cold? Antibiotics are for bacterial infections. Colds are from viruses not bacteria.

I took in 4 feral kittens and they all got colds shortly thereafter. My vet had me use "Little Noses" saline nose drops for babies and that seemed to really help their congestion. You only use one drop per nostril.

This is horrible advice.

All animals fast when ill, because they need ALL energy to recover. They will eject food in the intestinal tract through diarrhea and vomiting.

Force feeding a cat stresses them and they throw up again, wasting more energy.

Sneezing, infected eyes, congestion are all natural actions of the body. The cat still receives nutrient, but from body stores instead of through digestion.

My cats have fasted up to 8 days. It takes a lot more than a cold to kill cats.

There are a lot of welfare groups around that might be able to help you...but you need to ask for help 'Sometimes that means letting them have your kitten; Kittens can be very expensive to keep, so you must always think ahead. All of our animals are insured. Our cat costs under £5.00 per month to insure. That's just giving up a take-away or a packet of fags.

Look in your phone book under Animal Charities. Then get on the telephone and tell tthem your situation. Where do you live?

Dabbing a q-tip in warm milk, and putting it all over the eye's infection also helps. Sometimes the eyes are so infected that you can't get them open, so you take a face-clothes, wet it with warm water, and gentally rub it over the eye, and it will open. Then a bunch of white gunk will come out, and you wipe it up with the clothe. THEN you dab the warm milk on a q-tip onto it. It really works :D

I have 5 Cats and all 5 got colds and it was terrible! One of my cats almost died! The Vet gave my cat a shot cost me $55.00 and we hydrated her and she is fine now.
