I stumbled upon this song a month ago while shopping in a local grocery store, its raw power and beauty capturing my attention immediately. Curious, I eventually came upon a clerk breaking down boxes in a back room, an iPod nearby powering a small set of speakers. Our eyes met. My wide-eyed expression must have said it all. 'As I Am', he said, matter-of-factly. 'Mystery - a Canadian band.', he then added. I was mesmerized then and still am now, even after countless plays. What a great discovery!

I guess you are not a Mystery fan. I do not see them as derivative at all. They have been around over 20years and the music sounds mature and original. Certainly there are elements of other prog rock groups but I think it is unique enough to be considered original.

The point is to comment on Mystery and leave out the YES connection. Mystery stands on their own, IMHO.

OK, this song rings in the high voices of what rock and roll should and has sounded like and and is supposed to sound like. Forgetting YES, these musicians look as cool as they are supposed to be, Frighteningly. Trying to figure out SCREAMS HIGH VOICES, yeah, that's it! As if we were one of those. WHAT SONG IS THIS A MAKED RIPOFF OF?
