  • In the terrible Blitz of Autumn 1940 my grandad's family were bombed out of a street in east London that their ancestors had lived in for at least one hundred years before them. Can you imagine a bomb landing in your family home and everything being destroyed like that? Nothing left, everything gone, your dog/cat, every photo or momentoe you once treasured, your clothes, every stick of furniture. You are left with the clothes on your back, nothing else!

  • @aimeemacdn What's your point?

  • Apparently, Sept 15 was the day the RAF ran out of fighters period - Had Guerring and his henchman known this, they would have marshalled planes etc. and the next few days - despite radar of Britain - the nazi's would have finally knee-capped Britain and they could have started invading the Brit Isles. Lucky they didn't have the info~!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @fuhmeregan Not quite. They still had to get across the Channel. The British Navy was a force to be reckoned with at this point, and an actual seaborne invasion would probably have turned into a catastrophe for the Germans.

  • Imo.. the German army was merely wasting resourses in attempting to bomb Britain to submission...

If they really wanted Britain to surrender They should had just devastated the RAF fighter command..

To make life even easier.. Germany should had sieze Dunkirk in Fall of france.. and Britain is likely to surrender as the already lack of equipment and now manpower is diminish.. Britain will have no means to combat the Mighty german army.

  • Nice job
