I could tell you a very interesting story happened to me,courtesy of Westpac, September 09, 2001, but I can say that even Australia will soon feel the effect of the world's economic collapse as china's aiming to get its GOLD back from the US that was/is due back since September 12, 2001, after the court ruling in the Hague. Australia will soon be ruined by the current stripping of its pressures metals; google for divinecosmosdotcom/start-here/davids-blog/1022-lawsuit-end-tyranny-ii
raspberrybaggio@jerepah, Thanks for the info. I'm not surprised he was called, "The world's greatest treasurer." He speaks common sense, and as one of my friends always says, "Common sense ain't common." Our PM, Gordon Brown, is a total half-wit. Sold of loads of our gold at £250 an ounce. What a pea-brain!
@raspberrybaggio Yes, former PM, till 1996. He was Hawke's treasurer; once he was dubbed 'the world's greatest treasurer', even though he never studied economics - sold shoes in a department store when he first left school. In fact he was a high school dropout at 17.
He's done well for a high school dropout, and initially a shoe salesman at DJs... his sister is very successful as well. Not bad for fibros from out west.

Keating was and still is a visionary. I have really enjoyed his interviews on lateline over recient years. He appears more reflective today...

Well let's hope that Rudd can actually get China some more representation in the G20, and the deficit countries learn to accept it.

Thanks for your insight Paul. I enjoyed hearing your calm and intuitive response to the global financial meltdown.
