  • Whats causing the sound at 1:25?

  • typical V2530-A sound.i luve it...

  • IAE FTW!!!

  • klingt wien mopet ^^

  • how come? If you sit behind the wing you cant enjoy the sound so much? And if you sit in the front of the wing you can clearly hear the IAE sound?

  • hey..which seat was it?

  • 1:28 doesn't sound healthy :S

  • @Andy2x4

That is when the pilot flying selects "Climb power" as they have used "Take off" power (usually de-rated) maximum power to a more fuel efficent setting.

  • @Andy2x4 Sounds just perfect

  • I wonder if passengers ever get annoyed by the sound of those engines, not that there's anything that can be done about it.

  • The camera Mic is more sensitive. So I don't think you get annoyed.... At least I would enjoy it :) I love it

  • I hate the sound of those small airbus during takeoff. They sounds like a moped.

  • i love this engine sound the CFMS

  • why do IAEs always sound like this?

  • its t he way t he engine's made and the intake blades design.

  • @thejack544 IAE's sound more hollow, this is a CFM. I don't think LH has any IAE-equipped aircraft.

  • Strange. Apart from a slightly different turbine scream to a CFM, the DIY cutting saw sound is exactly the same as CFM56 engines!? This is the first time ive ever heard IAE V2500 engines.

  • I love frankfurt airport

  • nice vid i love that sound

  • Really cool transonic blades sound and climb thrust reduction is also awesome. Thanks for the vid.

  • Yes at 1:30 it sounds very scary, what is this ?

  • The engine sets from T/O Power to climb power

  • it is when the takeoff speed setting is decreased so that they do not go over the speed limit, it's 100% normal ! :D

  • When the pilot reduces the engine power it makes that sound

  • When the pilot reduces the engines power, the vibration makes that sound

  • When the pilot reduces the engines power, the vibration makes that sound

  • The engine was throttle back a bit from full power to climb power.

  • sound at 1:30 is a bit scary, isn't it? :)

  • it got high fast

  • i love this sound that i i think that it's the same like the cfm56 b

  • 0:47, it's a bit early to ask passengers to take their seatbelts off.

  • No that wasn't the seatbelt sign. This acoustic signal can be heard on every Airbus aircraft when the gear is retracted.

  • why the hell do the passengers need to kno that

"Okay Hunny! The gear has been retracted!"

  • Have you ever considered who else is in the cabin... the chime is for the benefit of the cabin crew, not the passengers.

  • it's not the seatbelt sign it's a passenger that has pressed the assistance button. The seatbelt sign always has 2 beeps rather than 1

  • love that wine of the GEC engines

  • GEC? Do you not mean IAE?

  • it is so loud, isn't it?

  • IAE V2500's.

  • The takeoff looked short to me, and this aircraft has a lot of engine power than a regular Airbus A321... really cool.

  • this may as well be music

  • esse avião tem uma turbina bonita!

    ela sabe grita bem...

    xD

  • how is it fake? you can see it is real.

  • i love that song too its soo cool....

  • i love that sound but how long does that sound exactly continue for?? lol i mean i kno for the whole flight but that weird sound of loud like screaming,,,i just cant describe it lol i hope people can understand :p

  • basically the sound you hear upon takeoff is the N1 compressor blades (the ones you see up front) breaking the speed of sound, which in turn causes that sound, and the sound is only temporary, when the aircraft reaches altitude and a safe cruising speed, it all quiets down :)

  • God I love this sound! Thats like music to me.

  • Cool video, Thanks for sharing!

  • There's some major power behind those engines

  • what a racket!

    no kip for you then.

    impressive climb too.

  • Thats mess up, LAWNMOWING in the sky?

  • LOL! "Leafblower" would also have been acceptable.

  • God! Look at the thing climb!

  • 7/10

  • yeah these are the IAE engines the CFM engines are my favorite. they have like a normal sound like from 00:00 to 00:04.

  • CFM engines make a very similar noise when they're at takeoff and climb thrust too. It's all to do with the blades on the front of the fan exceeding the speed of sound (the tips do about 1000 mph on the IAE V2500). Most modern turbofans make the noise to a greater or lesser extent. BR700, Trent, RB211 etc

  • how would you rate the plane? __/10

  • I would rate it 100?10 lol

  • What is the cruising altitude?

  • These V2500's are cool but the C90's on the 767 are the best

  • no see look....if ur infront of the engine, like in business class or sumthing, u hear the lawn mower type sound, coz thats what the engine actually sounds like apart from all the distortion...but if ur behind the engine, it sounds like reverse thrust coz of the jet blast

  • I love the sound after take off!

  • Love the sound from 1-10secs, can keep rewind it for looong time

  • So can I!

  • That sound just makes me feel at home.

  • AWESOMENESS!!! these are (besides the RB211-535s) my favorite engines..!!

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • size of the engine cowl determines the inflection of sound

  • THIS SOUD IS REALLY GREAT

  • That buzz saw noise is the sound of the front compressor/fan blades whatever, breaking the sound barrier, in effect being mini sonic-booms. apparently.

  • Lol, the first time I was on a plane and heard that sound, I was like

    "What the fuck....?

But now I seem to like it

  • Ah the lawn mover noise of the engine, bloody loud in flight I was on a 319 on Sunday night and OMG it's loud on take off but it evens itself out

  • Nice Video. That 'Ting' sound is very funny ;) I love that sound!

  • nice video.. love RR engines..

  • Pure Royal Rolls-Royce sound...

  • the sound from a airbus a321 usaly has the famous "JET" sound and not the deep sound u hear at climb speed thats the real plane!!! but nice vid

  • Rolls Royce developed the Compressor for the IAE v2500 series of engines. You can tell RR had there hand with these engines. They sound like an RB211. Lovely sound

  • Jesus!I am sooo much in love with that sound!!!Really nice. Wanna fly now this amazing 321 airbus. Thanks for posting. And for the record V2500 ROCKS!!!

  • Whats that sound man ? The V2500 has to be balanced.

    Beter is Cfm-I cfm56-5c.

  • the sound (is it the grinding sound you mean?) is the sexy sound of the compressor, I would say the V2500 is better because they are faster, provide more thrust, cost less to operate, have fewer maintenence problems, are eco friendly, and they have a longer range than any CFM56 engines.

  • Nice video, Paul. Shame the window was dirty.

  • the sound change when changing from take off power to climb power its sounds like an engine fail.

  • thats the usual for V2500's they transition

  • oh what a sexy sound ;-) I like it

  • Nice vid!
