to all the soldiers in our armed forces, both here and over seas thanks, just thanks for letting us have our freedom, so we can wake up and sleep safely
I bless everyone who has died and those who are still alive, you do a duty that most are afraid to do, i hope when im old enough that i live up to that. Stay low, watch your buds and watch that trigger finger
God bless all you guys who served and are serving our country in the military. My eternal thanks go to your selfless, courageous sacrifice for freedom.
44 years ago tomorrow. Here's a tall one to Niles Harris, and all his brothers. Sleep well tonight, Niles. Your younger brothers and sisters are guarding the walls. Ass down, head up, eyes open.
I am honored to call a veteran of this very battle a friend of mine. I am also honored to be part of the Airborne Brotherhood and a Veteran of Desert Storm with the 82nd Airborne Division.
I used to watch Imus at MSNBC with my father and I am glad IMUS is back in the morning on Fox. Personally he should have been at Fox since day 1. Anyway, Don Imus always great musicians on his show Big & Rich, Brad Paisley, Dwight Yoakam, Vince Gill, etc.
i love this song it cool because i was born on november 8th. God Bless the vets and the men and women who are still active today without thim we would never have freedom
i wish i was there fighting in the milatary with those troops i cant wait to when i get older!it makes me cry because i think about everyone who cant be with their kids, husbands, wifes, brother,si ster, moms, dads go army and god bless the fallen, the stading, the waiting and fighting i thank you all for what you do and for giving me the chance to live in a free country and being able to get an education.I keep you in my prayers day and night forever and always and without an amen! Be Safe,God Bless
Marttin, just in it for the money?? You couldnt be further from the truth. John Rich is the talent of these two. Could you point me in the direction of this so-called un-American video footage you have seen? God Bless all vets and all men and women still active today. Thank you for your services!
There were eight of us, from my high school and neighborhood that joined. I'm all that's left. I've said goodbye and played trumpet for each of them and comforted their families.
Please, please, don't make our Generals, Admirals, Marines, Sailors, and Soldiers say in vain, "On Behalf of a Grateful Nation." Its all the solace us survivors have.
God Bless Big and Rich, you always were a comfort then, and now even more now.
Maybe you are right..But I cant appreciate these guys enough for the fundraising work they did for the 173rd Airborne Brigade Memorial being built at Columbus Ga.and for also, For letting the general public know what these Heroes did for their Country it was late in comming but better late than never...

With all due respect to all vets...And I don't want that to be generic. i really do mean it!!!!.....Military vets rock. i am not one, but I truely look up and hold my hand out to ya'll....But i gotta say John Rich is a complete and total bitch....Though Big Kenny is ok in my book. John Rich is looking for the buck, and nothing else. I've seen video of that guy being anything but a true American...Love Big Kenny......John Rich outta be shot....Just one mans opinion
With all due respect as a former Paratrooper who lost friends on the 8th of Nov.1965 Why is it that Men from other branches of our sevices use this video for their own Bravado?(Marines Etc,)Please respect the memory of these gentle heroes who gave their lives and to whom this song and video are dedicated to and were Paratroopers of the U.S. Armys 173rd. Airborne Brigade (1st. Batallion 503rd.Infantry(Airborne) A Brother in Arms 2/503rd Airborne Infantry 173rd.Airborne Brigade Vietnam 65-66
Brother write a song about the 241 who died in Beirut. For now this song takes me back to the hell i survived.God bless You.This is your song, and I can see the pride in your words. Thanks for allowing me to borrow it.
I will assume that you are being sarcastic. If not, join the military and you will find out. You dont fight for God and Country; you fight for the person on your left and on your right. Nothing more, nothing less. If you should survive you feel great regret for your friends that died and that you somehow survived. That is what this song is about.
i may not be in the military or the or army but god bless the soulgers that died. im going to join the millitary can some 1 give me some adviss i got 8 years untill i can join.
my uncle is in the air force. to be in the military you have to have smartness and skill. its all about doing your best 24/7 and ALWAYS listen to orders. this advice came from my uncle. he used to be in the marines ( THE MARINES ARE THE HARDEST TRAINING) at the age of 18. since then, he joined the air force and now is 34. GO USA!
Be mentally and physically prepared to give full consent to the NCO's and the officers that are appointed over you. Don't worry about deployments. They will come and go. Focus on training and to be a sponge. Learn your General orders, know basic history knowledge on the service you plan to join. Do not be a warmonger, war is hell kid. If it happens it happens. I'm on my 2nd enlistment in the USMC. Concentrate on school for now and being a sponge in school. SCHOOL MATTERS ALOT even if u do join!
I am in the United States Navy. I witnessed the death of my best friend that I've known since Kindergarten. It was by far the worst experience of my life, and it just so happened on November 8th, 2005. Our ship got blown up at sea. Me and one other man survived. The rest passed, including someone who I considered a brother. One day, I will see him again. I love you and miss you, bro.
thanks guys for making this song for the "herd" lost good friends that day.god bless all the men who gave their lives for the U.S army and the brigade and our flag Im glad people know more about our airborne troops(paratoopers)and what they have done since ww2 and are doing to this day..your brother from 2/503rd.airborne infantry 173rd airborne brigade viet nam 65-66 "airborne all the way"
