I know it's hard to believe that anyone can be this creative AND manic without chemical stimulation but that's just... Robin!

This was actually as close to a perfect Late Night show as you could get at the time. I believe it was a Friday show, so there was viewer mail, always a crowd pleaser. Williams comes on and kills.Great guest because Dave just sat back and let him go. Then a taped segment where Dave goes to a viewers house out on LI, rifles through her closets looking for shoes and finally tracks her down working at a Sears. Then comedian Carol Leifer, (pre Seinfeld) ends the show with a very funny set.

Having just watched the "Heart to heart" clip from this year (2009), it's a relief to watch this. 'Cause the new clip is extremely depressing. He may still have a lot of energy, but he is a shadow of his former self. Blame the surgery and the simple fact that he is older, but that's also depressing!

At least we have this, older clip, which is like a time capsule, perfectly preserved.
