PETA can be a bit much, yes. What people fail to realize is that although there are many people who care deeply about animals and their welfare it is simply not enough. By making a splash and being over the top it can just bring even more awareness to an area that needs more attention. @waratahNSW Sheep may not be barbarically slaughtered for wool, but the way in which the wool is obtained is painful and often leads to disease and infection, the wool farmers DO NOT take their time to go gentle whilst shearing the sheep, they skin them too, maybe not to the extend in which animals are skinned for their fur but none the less, the skin is scraped from their backs because the person doing the job is too lazy to do it properly.
