  • Thumbs up if you still listen to this in 2011

  • Capitalism Killed Art Money killed art ....

  • @xheavymotorheadx i agree. i think thats why andy warhol pissed on a canvas and sold it for a million dollars.

  • fucking brilliant

  • Got my head cracked open many years ago trying to see Conflict in Edinburgh. Was worth it :)

  • sounds aful similar to afi - your name here

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!! ;o)

  • Punk was dead but now he revived!!

    Oi! Oi! Punks of today!

Do whatever you want and stay punks!

  • Not a punk anymore? Why not? Just because other people are ruining it, doesn't mean it's impacting YOU. You do whatever the hell you want!!!!!

  • I like that the begininng bassline is quite similar to the beginiing bassline of Oi Aint Dead by Condemned 84. And if you know any of the history between these bands it's pretty funny.

  • Just a majestic, powerful punk song. I used to play the hell out of the 7" inch in the mid 80s as a teen on my record player.

  • i had this song on repeat while having sex with my bf ;)

  • Hello people, I went to see conflict a lot in 1984 / 1985 etc, and a few times from then til they quit recently. Let me tell you, they charged less for gig entrance than many other punk bands, they sold their records for less than other bands.

Conflict come in for some shit, as most people who know the punk scene back then will know. But conflict really meant it at one point.

Here is the question, is anybody doing it better today?

    well, what do you think?

  • @Johnnypintobean Napalm Death did it better amd with more style. Did you see them?

  • @Johnnypintobean Yeah, I remember the old "PAY NO MORE THAN 80p" singles, lmao, unfortunately even PUNK is not immune to inflation!

  • I love this song

  • YOUR... NAME... HERE!

  • great son." To whom it may concern" is my fav

  • yeah agree, nerchandise shirts etc how all the bands used to make money while on tour to live on etc, diffrent know though shirts £15/20/30 prices defo not diy etc anymore, think got this from ll the metal bands.....but such is life, still got punk ideas in my head, still punk in a way, dont take any shit within reason of anyone, treat people how you want to be treated easy really, but i do hate it when people talk dwn to you like your tick or they think their better than you.......:-(

  • wow great!

  • politics/fashion/styles etc is what killed punk for me........was ment to be just yourself, not ram shit dwn your neck.........dont follow sheep etc....i"m defo not into politics in anyform of music....but their a can thats just my opinion etc

  • @108duck i too got sick of the hypocrisy in the punk scene, everyone is trying to be an individual and nonconformist but when they see a kid at a show wearing a shirt for a band that is not mega ultra hardcore punk they make fun of the kid tirelessly. punk shouldnt be a fashion statement, but unfortunately for most it is... thats why i said "fuck the scene"

  • @gd1035 damn theres nothing "punk" about making fun of people that are different, you must have had the worst punk scene ever. where i live the scene is full of all kinds of different people that are mostly all really nice most people dont even look like punks, it would suck if they did, then i could wear my rainbow suspenders :( hahaha

  • @gd1035

This isn't an attack on you individually, but this is why the scene is dying, people are saying fuck it. We all need to stand together, unite, and show people what the punk scene is really like. It's a community, it's not just a scene, it's not something you can walk out on if you truly care about it... stand up, unite, show the fashion-parade of drunken idiots that's not all it means.... unite !!

  • @108duck That's a sorry ass opinion and I question whether you ever even truly understood Conflict's music because their lyrics where always political: anti-establishment, anti-system, anti-corporate, anti-conformist...all of these things are political.

You don't seem to understand the basic tenet that, even if you are trying to keep politics out of your songs, you are still making a political statement.

"If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything." -Nader

    Read.

  • Waooo :PPP Rock'n'Roll!!!!! xDDDD 17 man Loseeer -.-+

  • black and yellow is anarcho capitalism ?

  • @TheSonOfChernobyl

    no anarcho-christianity... -_-

  • @TheSonOfChernobyl It can be Anarcho-Capitalism or Christianity, I believe.

  • @oxymoron310 And conflict is a group anarcho-christianity or Anarcho-Capitalism ?

  • @TheSonOfChernobyl I don't know, comment un-related to the video. I'm just saying Yellow can represent capitalism, or christianity on a flag.... Or elsewhere. I know from personal experience, having met a few christian punks that wore yellow hankerchiefs in NYC.

You might find this interesting to look over real quick if you have a minute:

    en.wikipedia (dot) org/wiki/Anarchist_symbolism

Just wiki, I know. Cool non-the-less.

  • I liked it at first, but not that much. NOW I LOVE IT!

  • you are speaking nonsense.punk doesnt mach to any controled society

  • @exelta Anarchy does

  • The entire human disease which is violence starts with rape....and then continues.

  • LOVE this song, i used to sing all the lyrics as fast as he did, about 25 years ago. thanks for the song, never though i would find it

  • FUCKING AWESOME! from Poland. jebac system

  • zaajebiście from POLAND!!!!!!

  • adiosucks123 said it, anything to to the contrary minus the political agenda is worthless bullshit

  • absolute legend for uploading this :D

  • anarchy its the best way of life nobody can tell you what you have to do shit that's not the paradise i think so!!!!! conflict the best anarcho punk band of ever

  • NOT the best but good. Best punk song "fuck you" by D.O.A.

  • FUCK THE GOVERNMENT FUCK THE COMMIE PRESIDENT FUCK THE PRIME MINISTERS FUCK THE CHANCELLORS, FUCK THE POPE, ALL POLITICS AND GLOBAL ELITE ARE IN FOR ONE THING A ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT, THE PROBLEM WITH THE WORLD TODAY IS POLITICS, CANT CRITISIZE THE PRESIDENT WELL I'LL HATE ON HIM ALL I WANT HE'S NOT SPECIAL LIKE CHRIST, DAMN COMMIE, ISLAMIST, FREEMANSON HITLER IMPERSONATION, FUCK EM... ANARCHISM SHOULD BE HELD UP BY CHRISTIAN PRINCIPALS SO IT HAS A STRONG FOUNDATION

  • @xxxODIUMxxx Freemason lol

  • @xxxODIUMxxx anarchism should be held up by christian principals?!?!?! hahahahaha that's probably the most ridiculous thing I've ever read, and i actually read a few chapters of my history book in high school, so I've read some pretty ridiculous things. explain to me how that would work, because the way i see it anarchism and organized religion are polar fucking opposites. you're describing a theocracy. you sound like one of those right wing, tea party, pseudo-anarchists. eat shit and die.

  • @killnazipunks really theres scriptures in the book to support my theories 2 cor 4:4 this scripture shows that all politics of high elect of of lucifer himself, and john 18:36, my kingdom is not of this world, i rather serve a god than mere humanoids (reptilians) like the president, i take it that most anarchists are atheist, i must admit religion is mess up cause its all twisted, the only religion that makes any sense is christianity, i believe myself that if anarchism has a foundation>>

  • @xxxODIUMxxx it becomes a stronger movement, before long theres gonna be a one world government, and people are not smart enough not to vote in any politician in office the only solution to me is to overthrow the government, before long those naive enough not to open their eyes will hat the government anyway

  • @xxxODIUMxxx "the only religion that makes any sense is christianity" funny, i bet thats exactly what the crusaders were thinking. if anarchism was held up by christian ideals, it wouldnt be anarchism. you would still be subservient, only it would be to a god instead of the state. then next thing you know your pastor becomes your president and were back to square one. if your an anarchist and believe in the Abrahamic god then thats one thing, but one should have nothing to do with the other.

  • @xxxODIUMxxx and honestly, i couldnt fucking care less what some passage in the bible says, so quoting scripture is gonna get you nowhere with me.

  • @killnazipunks the pastor would still be a man, he could still be a hypocrite like any of these politicans, what politicians are in are for one thing for power which in fact is to play god i will admit any anarchist has their beliefs and values even if we dont think on the same page in terms of being an anarchist, what we can both admit, is the fact that no political leader can be trusted, they all strive to be something like Adolf Hitler

  • kocham robie se dziare

  • Anarchism is love towards everyone so why would you only care about yourself. That is capitalism. That is that poser anarco-capitalism/anarchist individualism. We need a collective society to get the fuck out of our current problems.

  • @MrFuzzyballs69 Actually no, that would be communism or socialism you tard. Anarchy is looking out for yourself and if you think it's something else you really need a government lesson.

  • @Grave187RIP13 anarchists are socialists. they just reject the state. read an anarchist faq by ian mackaye

  • @MrFuzzyballs69 lol. No. Anarchy is still on the opposite side of the spectrum. Anarchists are anarchists. Socialists are socialists.

  • I don't get how that retard above is the second highest rated comment. Fucking Communism and Marxism. Be a real fucking anarchist. Look after yourself and fuck anyone else. Fucking pussy.

  • @Grave187RIP13

seriously. wtf is this jackass talking about, "marxism". fuck that.

  • @Grave187RIP13 Look after yourself and fuck everyone else? Isn't that the same fucking drastic situation we're in now? There is no real or fake anarchy. Anarchy is anarchy, and anarcho communism is a possible situation of anarchy. Boo-fucking-hoo.

  • @noobishdumbberry Um, no actually, right now we are forced to put into a system that that does not even benefit us. The federal government takes 1/3 of my pay check for "social security" and "medicare". But I don't qualify for medicare and Social Security wont be around for my generation. So, no fuck anarcho communism. I don't want to take care of anyone besides myself and my family. And BTW, communism is the complete opposite of anarchy dipshit.

  • @Grave187RIP13 Communist governments are the opposite of anarchy, dipshit. Communism doesn't mean a government that forces everyone to have the same. Anarcho-communism ( Liberal communism) is basicly anarchy with collective production and authority. And yeahh, the system just wants your money. Don't buy into that medicare shit that covers only those who afford it.

  • @noobishdumbberry Exactly, only problem is Anarchy is on the opposite side of the spectrum then liberals are. If anything Republicans are closer because they don't want federal government or any sort of government in our lives.

  • @Grave187RIP13 What the fuck are you going to fix with that attitude?

  • @adiosucks123 Who the fuck said anarchy is supposed to fix anything????

  • @Grave187RIP13 Your obiviously a moron talking out his ass. Btw to what you were saying with the other person, research shit before you talk like you know about it.

Communism is a stateless society (anarchism)

Socialism is what you are talking about but there's a fuck ton of variations for how socialism can work.

  • @adiosucks123 Except communism everyone shares, which makes it easy for people to be lazy and live off of others work. And anarchy makes you work for yourself and your family.

  • @Grave187RIP13

Have you ever heard the phrase "No man is an island."?

If you study capitalism, anarchism, marxism, or just how society works you will find that what your saying does not work and won't happen.

Communism and anarchism are not seperate from each other, communism is just a form of anarchism. The "anarchism" you are talking about is some stupid twist between anarcho-primitizism and anarcho-capitalism and if you understand capitalism you will understand that it needs a state.

  • @adiosucks123 thank you :) this kid probably thinks anarchism means chaos lmao!

  • @MrFuzzyballs69 Did I ever say anarchy meant chaos? Nope. Ya, so shut your fucking mouth.

  • @Grave187RIP13 Keyword "PROBABLY THINKS"

Deduced from your viewpoint, it seems that way. Then again you never said it didnt so you cant pull that card on me. I love you kid. You should probably practice what you preach and take care of yourself. And by that I mean stop replying arsehole.

  • @MrFuzzyballs69 lmao. Go back to your communist ways and keep calling it anarchy, don't worry it makes you look that much more punk rock. Lol.

  • @Grave187RIP13 communism aint that bad. just gotta work to achieve it. at its ideal state it becomes an anarchist society. working communally is never wrong. And i doubt you raised yourself. just like it takes a village to raise a child, it also takes a world to change the minds of ignorant kids like yourself. if love is wrong go ahead and end the world with your charade.

  • @MrFuzzyballs69 Look, I don't give a fuck what you want. But don't confuse communism with anarchy. Two completely different things. It's that simple.

  • @MrFuzzyballs69 Haha probably

  • beeesssst eeeever ah what the 'atter 'adder. what'ver you wake to sleep then you want it back after you gave it way claiming you didn't care, you look focus and stare, there is evil pictues over belfast but i am eatin fine, i rehearse but two times i don't want to dye, my hair is a clown and my shit in the pit soaked from head to toe looking to newport to end the debt someone in my fastness slows....hot heat from a fire as the glasses recline, the decline soothes my cell and the trouble has dou

  • i was buying any alt/punk album in the inland area, so what happens they open a shop in my small town, i am there everyday, and one day i buy a conflict cd and the kid running the register tells me he is a sound engineer and that he worked a conflict show and proceeds to tell me how pompous and arrogant they are...real rock stars acting as if they are on the MTV punk like that is dead. we need heros not assholes!

  • @tmill909

Just because you would even believe gossip like that is ridiculous, enough reason for me to figure your about 14 and dont have clue what your talking about.

  • @Andyidol1 ya I suppose i am 14. which is the letter N. for niggard. why would someone I know lie to me, and why would you think that a band that is so pop-u-lar wouldn't have an issue with their pride getting in the way of the cause? But in actuality i am no teen preteen or 20 something. that thinks just because conflict sat on their daddys lap and cryed to their grandma for a style of music means they are grander than the people they look down their noses at means shit. I am crass!

  • I totally love everything about this band. from their first 7 inch released in 1981 to their last Lp released in 2003. When they toured Australia some years back they were the friendliest guys and really interested in finding out about the lives of their fans. But WHERE ARE THEY NOW ? Havn't heard antyhing from them in years. Does anyone know what hqs happened to this band ?

  • @decaysvegan They are working on a new album. The title will be ''Tilt''. If you want more infos, look on Facebook for Conflict official.

    Cheers!

  • Dead Kennedys- best American punk band. Conflict - best UK punk band. Why? Because they understood that there was more to punk than just a bunch of drunks at a costume party.

  • @Globalistreason actually, every real punk band understood.

  • @Globalistreason They themselves understood it; the kids that sport their band logo's today have the 40 in hand.

  • I can't stand most anarcho punk but they were always one of my favorites in any genre. Amazing lyrics and music. They are like if Crass was good musically and not just lyrically...lol

  • Not the best punk song by any means, but it's a really good.

  • 12 people are dead....

  • @jocer12ify yes, the world is full of cunts.......Peace.

  • msnvanerik writes "BEST punk song!"

that's my opinion also... I prefer Dead Kennedys, Bad Brains, Poison Girls (...) but this one is really really something

  • Comment removed

  • I am a Marxist and see it as a tool to an anarchist society and I love punk, it's actually what got me into politics, but I feel that most in the anarcho-punk scene do not understand what a true anarchist/communist society would be like. It requires us growing up past the phase of saying "fuck it" to the shit we don't like or that annoys us and dealing with other people and showing them why we are the future. It takes hard work, living on a commune, growing food, helping others.

    (A) (E)

    Peace

  • @adiosucks123 I urge you to listen to the lyrics of imagine by john lennon

  • @Standard420247 I know them. What about them?

  • @adiosucks123 not tryin to start shit, but how can you be Marxist and still support Anarchism?

  • @dogslam13 Good question. Marxism is basically the idea that the relations to the means of production is what causes everything else like politics and even religion. (Normal) Marxism is also based on the idea that the workers must overthrow the capitalist state and form a democratic socialist state (dictatorship of the proletariat) to bring real democracy into the workplace and normal life. After that, class divisons will have faded through the better equaling out of wealth

  • @adiosucks123 and the state is no longer needed (because of a long explaination that i wont bother explaining if you don't want to hear it) and that bring you to communism which is actually a form of collective anarchism. People usually just don't understand that communism is a form of anarchism because they are never told the correct definition. So the only thing Marxism has against anarchism is that we can't do it right away, but we want it in the future.

  • @adiosucks123 i agree that the end result is the same, but Marxism still advocates a form of authoritarianism that leads to corruption. The USSR serves as a perfect example. I'd say anarcho-communism/collectivism/syndicalism is more accurate, but i could be wrong

  • @dogslam13 It all depends on the variations on Marxism people take. I personally like Lenin and Mao even though they are veiwed as authoritarians but since I grew into Marxism from being an anarchist I still stand strongly against authoritarianism. I'm sort of like a Luxemburgist I guess.

  • @adiosucks123 that's kinda contradictory but eh, more power to ya.

  • @dogslam13 Not really, it's just trying to take the best aspects from each figure. I guess you just need to read some of Mao's work to really understand but he was actually for moving into an anarchist society and did push for it but it's not good to try and stand by one person in history and say they were perfect. The point is we are all working towards the same goal and shouldn't forget that.

  • @adiosucks123 Hail the new dawn.

  • @adiosucks123 Proof, not all anarchist are the retards that I usually see:)

  • @GhostAnimals93 Thanks =)

  • @adiosucks123

yeah friend i'm afraid you are right , im an anarchonihilist and I love punk too, and I feel the same as you. Although I think Crass is the best anarcho punk, they say some nice shit, many of them damn fcking right.

Death for the rullers and peace for humanity and the world

  • @Theeyebeyond When you say nihilism do you mean the pejorative pop/media misconception or do you mean it in the strict, almost scientific philosophy of the original nihilists--that you shouldn't believe in anything that can't be demonstrated to be true?

  • @2Jakk I say nihilist following the philosophic concept of nihilism and in the way that there is no reason to live but a bunch of reasons to die for. I believe men should be ruled by only their individual person and not by a ruler, that there should not be a pre made system which it's only propose seems to be to entertain you so you don't disturb their tyrant decisions which will reflect on your person like it or not. That is what I mean by Anarchonihilist.

  • @Theeyebeyond strictly speaking nihilism is the idea that one shouldn't believe in anything that cant be demonstrated to be true. In later years smear campaigns were used against nihilism to propagate the idea that nihilists believed in "nothing" and as such were launching a war (if you can call it that) against educational and religious institutions. Aside from a few teachers getting murdered they were largely an intellectual group grounded in epistemology with an anarchist-like flavor. A.

  • @2Jakk Oh I actually didn't know that, thanks friend. But Yeah in the end it's not news, people will always find some distorted way to make those they do not understand or that seem to have power against their actions, to suffer. I'm deeply sorry for those teachers, more even am I for the FAI and the POUM during the Spanish revolution, so many anarchists, free people and simple those who which to live a simple life and saw that threatened died, betrayed, shot by their own people.

  • @adiosucks123 Yea but the reason there is law and order is because without it, most people wouldn't be able to live in the society we would ultimately like to live it. So what do you do with those people? Personally what do you think? I've talked about this a million times, guess I just feel like it again.

  • @iEatBoneDust That is one of the reasons why Marxists say we can't go directly into a communist (anarchist) society. The vast majority of people who get in trouble with the law do so because of their relations to the means of production and how they are being exploited (whether it is conscious or not). I think if you look to the Paris Commune and Zapatistas they show how the transition from capitalism to communism through socialism works and keeps things in check.

  • @adiosucks123 HIPPY!!!

  • @BPCpresents I wouldn't say Marxists are hippies.

  • @BPCpresents Yeah - not originally, it was quite street and came from something that happened in New York. Hippies redefined themselves a lot of punks came from Middle class homes in this country and dropped out, getting all political about it and living in communes etc. Just redefined hippiedom...actually vile stuff. Socialism/Markism is for the middle classes its got nothing to do with the working classes. Its for the middle class to form a oligarchy and tell everyone what to do...again.

  • @adiosucks123 Fuck Politics.. So your a member of a political movement that makes the Nazis look like boy scouts... A Political idea that is now killing the west.... You actually sound like a good guy but the Russian Marxist revolution killed tens of millions and carried on until Stalins death... I would love to come and live in that commune with you but not under the flag of Marxism...

  • @angelite009 You are so misguided it's not even funny.

  • @adiosucks123 Very true, but we can do it, I got faith in us!

  • @adiosucks123 love this mate! i'm AC (anarcho-communist) and NOBODY understands, or takes it seriously, i've had these views (through punk) since a young age, which is wierd as my parents are pretty right wing :L so i can totally relate :D

    ...class song too! :P

  • @squidvicious27 Sick. I've had my views for about 4 years and I'm 17 right now. I'm still dealing with the right-wing parent bullshit so I know what you mean. haha

  • fuck ya! punk FOREVER!

  • Im not fucking old....but this seems so long ago.

  • awesome ,,,punk at its best

  • Holy shit i like guitar but the guy singing stuffes the whole sone up

  • @zakyman123 Stuffes the whole sone up?

  • punk not dead!

  • @NajmiAdam obviously!

  • it's been waaaaaaaaay too long since i listened to Conflict! i love this song!

  • Fuck why I was born so late!!

    Anarchopunk is the best

  • Thank you for posting this. I kind of forgot about this song. Conflict rules.

  • Oi! Conflict is the best! Disarm or DIE!!!

  • it's a good song but not the best punk song

  • @histatimaniples

Wrong : it's the BEST one.

    Why ?

    (construction, texte, variation...)

  • @histatimaniples dunno bout that...

  • @histatimaniples if not best certainly better than "good"

  • @histatimaniples thanks for clearing that up. lol

  • One of the Best saw them at Brixton in the infamous gig and got to know them when they toured Australia a few years back. Real believers are hard to find but these guys really believe in what they sing about

  • CONFLICT!!! the first band I listened to & really got into, what ever happened to punk being this good?

  • I love listening to this song because when I hear the opening bass line I get chills and I just feel like running around in the pit. I wanna put the middle finger in the air and give everyone a big "FUCK YOU"!

  • I feel 16 again...

  • This.. reminds me of the song ''London Calling'' by The Clash. wierd.

  • @TheViciousZebra It has a similar melody, doesn't it...

  • @danielscissorhands :D Yay, im not the only one

  • @TheViciousZebra

why does it remind you of "london calling"?

  • @falcem When the singing starts, ''londong calling'' just popped up in my head. The melody is quite similar, the way he sings too. But that's just an opinion of mine..

  • real

  • mi ricorda i bei tempi!!!
