  • One of the darkest but also one of my favorite Pink Floyd songs.

  • FAKE !

  • OMG A damn Mitt Romney ad on here already.

  • That shot of the band playing behind the wall, then the camera craning above it to show the massive audience= epic

  • true, butt on boats you're stinking lice are creeps

  • AND THE WORMS ATE INTO HIS GRAIN

AND THE WORMS ATE INTO HIS DRAIN

AND THE WORMS ATE INTO HIS CRANE

  • I HAVE HAD TIRDS WITH DEEPER THOUGHTS THAN YOU HOMO'S

  • this performance is absolutely mesmerizing. Pink Floyd for life!

  • this video is awsome

  • i love the bass on this

  • I love this performance, how he just sits there in the dark the whole time, very symbolic and beautiful.

  • Drugs are badass, It's my choice to choose to do them just like its other peoples choice not to, it doesnt make me a low life since I can still take care of myself, have a good paying job, and still stay in shape. Drugs are only to expand your mind to places you've never discovered, not saying everyone should do drugs, but some people can handle them better than others. Thats all.

  • @Jimborocknroll90 do u do weed of the really bad shit

  • @ToStompU ive done everything except the shooting up shit, not my style

  • @Jimborocknroll90 I couldnt agree more. It's about being responsible. When I was on DMT i had more of a spirtual experience than going to church. O.o lol

  • 3:13 felt like God is whispering in my ear.

  • not one person who uses drugs is the same.

  • @Kgibbons1994 ive done shrooms and acid, and marijuana several times but im still the same before i did them its people who abuse and fry their brain that arent the same but if you do them sparingly you will be fine, except i dont touch stuff that can be highly addictive and depends on the person some people just cant handle theyre stuff, but they dont always change people but it can

  • Dude, The Wall's concept had nothing to do with people who take drugs..

  • @savdownunderground In a way it can a way to do with taking drugs. Drugs can be something a human being uses to isoltate themselves.

  • @savdownunderground People typically think every Pink Floyd song has something to do with Drugs.

  • Watch your hands when you type. You keep hitting the caps lock button at random.

  • yo man you have no clue on me at all , i did what i did no regrets , but I LOVED THE MUSIC AND UNDERSTOOD IT ALL !

I WAS NOT EVEN 16 SO CHILL OUT OK ? i just did it all and loved it all , we all did , belive alot of us those that were there AND SAW IT ALL LIVE WERE ON DRUGS , BUT THAT WAS LIKE ALL PART OF THE EXPERIENCE IMHO !~

YELLOW SUNSHINE , IT WAS A MIND BLOWER AND I LOVED EVER SECOND AND REMEMBER THE FULL SHOW UP MIDWAY SEATS AND A LIL HIGH SO IT WAS PERFECT VIEW OF THE INSANE PERFECTION AS IT UNFOLDED BEFORE MY YOUNG EYE'S AND TRIPPING MIND , I LOVE THE MEMORY OF IT ALL ! THA ACID WAS PURE AND GOOD AND INTENSIFRIED IT ALL , A TEAR FILLS MY EYE AT THE MEMORY , WISH I WAS THER NOW OR COULD HAVE A FULL BLOWN FLASHBACK , NOW THAT WOULD BE GREAT ! AL

  • @AL2000FL Queer,

  • @AL2000FL Roger created the concept and idea of the wall because of people like you, people who take drugs like acid, weed, or what ever and don't listen and understand the music!

  • As someone who has crossed the chronological mark of 60, this song has much more relevance than i could have imagined 40 years ago. I will, however, not delve in dispairity, but rather relish memories of youth and reflect on a life of experience and reward. Enjoy the ride !!!

  • due date :), but in all seriousness, nothing beats Pink Floyd. there music, the meaning behind the lyrics. they are truly an amazing band, i strongly recommend if you get the chance to see the Australian Pink Floyd. to do it! close your eyes, lean back. its like your really at a Floyd concert.

  • Thank you God

  • velveeta cheese skillets as an advert in front of the renowned pink floyd?... this world's going to shit...

  • @gettyz oh i know no wonder i waited

    "Am I high?"

    "Do you feel high?"

    awesome

  • @mattattack1986 i think it was the combination of pure musical genuis between the members...... and lots of lsd

  • great studio recordings are usually tough for any band to beat , but the floyd, did it here LIVE!!!

and that solo ...oh my goodness!!!..breathtaking man. almost as if being behind that wall made them concentrate even more. i've listened to the live version about as much as the studio version.

  • A fucking MAZING

  • god, Roger waters is a genius

  • Commercial music today = thousands of years of evolution undone.

  • The past decade of emo trash has been trying in vain to recreate the sheer intensity in Waters's voice in that last verse. Pure musical bliss.

  • Is this available on DVD?

  • @lurch321 Pink Floyd In the Flesh, I beleive thats the name of the DVD.

  • Great song and album!

  • THE LYRICS GUYS! THE LYRICS!!! *cries*

  • So sad... So depressing... Makes you think deep about all things.. No need for drugs when you listen to that. Its the same.

  • @ggiorgoss12 I totaly agree

  • Comment removed

  • @ggiorgoss12 it's not the same, i'm baked and all i'm doing is buggin out.

    Shut the fuck up!!!!!!!!

  • @ggiorgoss12 true, but on both your thinking twice as deep...

  • Fuck off potheads, I listen to psychedelic every day, it's my genre. I don't need any bullshit to appreciate this song. You know what's better than weed, knowing how to play this song on guitar, which I do and it makes it 10x times better.

  • when I write in the youtube search bar "hey" the first suggest names are "hey soul sister, hey judas, hey soul sister train"... and thats a pity... young people ingnorance

  • Get the fuck off with your drug dealing, Jesus.

  • @SkyLinkAirlines oh cmon have some drugs

  • you need to have a very bad musical taste AND MORE IMPORTANT a good bag of weed to dislike this master piece, i need to ask the dislikers what they're using

  • @xenoghost1 wouldn't weed make it better?

  • @riseagan you see, weed increses the power of things, by so those who don't like this, hate it. ps if you ever get laid, use some nothern lights and pink floyd, this will give you the best orgasm on earth

  • @xenoghost1 aah, i follow you now. ahahaha, i'll keep that in mind, been lookin for that strain.

  • @riseagan hey you, i can send you sonmething like that, a legal bud, hopefully as strong as the northern lights, but if i find them, ca you send me money like 7 or 13 bucks for it?

  • @riseagan good news my buddies have white widow(strongest breed of weed) seeds! if intrested....

  • neva felt this high before.pure phychedelic!!

  • love the message - together we stand divided we fall -AMEN

  • great! <3_____<3

  • just epic...!!! I wish i could see them live... just once!

  • "Hey You" could be about Syd in one of his alcohol or LSD stupors. He put up a Wall between him and the rest when he got that way.Watch Syd on American Bandstand "apples and oranges"clip and youll see

  • @MrJacMac1986 Most of PF's songs were about Syd. He gone crazy.. But he was a genius. A true one.

  • @ggiorgoss12 just like the rest of us at one time or another. thats why music and lyrics are so relative to keep us identifying with one another.

  • @TanMaries True, well said.

  • this song is so easy to play capo on 3rd fret and u need to know how to play the c d g em chords

  • 24 hijos de puta no saben de musica

  • ist that fucked up, the featured video on the side is katy fuckin parry. and i know how to play this solo. whooohooo :) !

  • im 20 now nd this was my fathers music from the 70's 80's nd im hooked on it Pink Floyd, Def Leppard, The Police, Metaliica, Iron Madien etc HAIL THEM ALL !!!!!

  • Não existe viajem maior do que escutar essa música. Isso é uma música com essência, psicodelia. A voz e a guitarra estão em perfeitas sintonia.

  • make that 2402 will stand, 24 will fall

  • 2,396 will stand, 24 will fall

  • Watch it quick before EMI takes it down. Fucking corporate copyright abuse.

  • why the fuck would someone dislike this?

  • why the fuck would someone dislike this?

  • 24 People don't smoked hearing this ;D

  • 24 people cant hear you.

  • @666metalmelisha

looks more like vhs. Read the description, then try to do a google search. its easy if you try

  • To think I actually knew of this song's existence because of Due Date XD

  • @TheLaceratedSky all that matters is that you know it now :)

  • @TheLaceratedSky Well it's never too late to discover the Floyd. Just make sure you don't limit yourself to The Wall, Dark Side of the Moon, and Wish You Were Here. While they are the most commercially popular, everything they ever put out is great.

  • God I love this song...it's just so lazy and dark, but in a peaceful, hypnotic, trancelike way. Perfect for basking in the sun and enjoying the breeze

  • Comment removed

  • I mean just give it a thought will you, when this song was finished, the internet had a few computers, cellulars were not even a concept, the soviet union was still around, and the best of all is that THE 80S WERE THE FUTURE!!!

    Freaks the crap outta me...

  • @smmanoha tv wasnt all reality crap yet.some tv sucked back then but it was mostly better.although back then there were times when you had"13 channel of shit to choose from"Now at times you have 300 to 500 channels of shit.

  • 1980!!! 30 years have passed from the day this video was recorded and yet, somehow, time never seems to have passed!!!!!!

  • i like the live version more than the studio one..

  • no comment....................

  • the wall as to high and the you can't see

  • was Roger lip syncing? it sounds exactly like the cd version

  • @musicdork4ever no he was not...pink floyd lip syncing? no freaking way

  • @kfkfkf2000 just wondering. nothing against him or the rest of Floyd though. it just sounds like it to me

  • @musicdork4ever Dude, if you wanna hear him sound so close to the actual CD that he sounds like he's lip syncing, listen to "Don't Leave Me Now" on this same playlist. Roger Waters is amazing!

  • @sjheitsche I did that a few days ago actually, and I favorited it! it was an interesting performance. Roger's voice was almost identical with the studio version. amazing!

  • 24 people dont have speakers

  • World's Best song.

  • I will invent a time machine and go back in time, only to be at this concert. It stopped the cold war :)

  • Oh my god, you just got to love Gilmour's voice.

  • David Gilmour's voice could summon angels.

  • @LeeHOswald0112

    Could??

    It dose...

  • @YROCKLINGER there's no such thing as being bored at a floyd concert

  • @NoelznLiam well, not when u r high but i enjoy a good show

  • Help me to carry the stone. Straight lyricmaker Roger the arrow heart-bound... still sisyphos moves on seems none of us or few or shall I say LESS of us are able to fight down them worms and blow the wall to kingdome come. Together we´re strong divided we fall, we fall, we fall....out =/

  • Nothing compares to David Gilmour's voice.. Nothing.

  • @ba773r1na except for his guitar

  • @MrBeastlyDom Haha!! yeah :) :)

  • @ba773r1na you mean that Roger Waters deosn't sing well?

  • @GeorgeRingoGirl No, of course he sings well. But I prefer Gilmour's voice. Besides, he was always the singer in the band.

  • @ba773r1na aah ok! :)

  • @ba773r1na What about David Gilmour's Guitar playing?

  • @Azimuth95 It's sooooooo good <3. I can't say he's the best, I don't know. I can't say he's the best singer either. But I love this song so much. I can't describe how much in 500 letters. The lyrics, the music... I'm like 'Ohhhh, my God' every time I listen to it. And I believe his voice makes it even better. I don't know if other people feel the same way. I've said that again, his voice just brings me to my knees, it makes my heart melt. To me, it's the best. It's magical.

  • @ba773r1na This is roger waters singing this one bud, Although I agree with you.

  • @Caleb9652 are you retarded? its gilmour the first verse and chorus then its waters from there on

  • @BrejetyKirby

    yep, he's retarded.

  • @ba773r1na

yep, there is. his guitar playing.

  • Looks like Snowy White is playing the Nashville tuned Ovation acoustic for the live versions from The Wall shows...you can barely make him out behind Gilmour toward the end where they show the band behind the wall...very cool!

  • Its The Only Way Sonny Can Get Stoned..

  • Beautiful song!

  • @silanbunga and don't forget junkies lol

  • playing music in the dark!

    how amazing!

  • The fact that you can only see the pink doll. Is fuckin trippy!

wish i got to see floyd live. i would trip nutz.

  • lagg

    cant listen

  • lagg

  • very nice improvised solo by gilmour. melts you in your chair

  • I love this song so much, so sad but lovely

  • Pink has built a wall, now he calls for help from those that are like him, lonely. He sits by the phone calling his ex wife, but she doesn't answer, "sitting naked by the phone, would you touch me?"," but it was only a fantasy, the wall was too high as you can see"

Although he knows that it's a fantasy, He cries again "Can you help me!?" and "Don't tell me there's no hope at all!" from despair even though he knows that's the case.

People, as long as we stand together, the bricks will fall.

  • @Cenarrion It's about the Berlin Wall, not drugs and ex wifes X_X

  • @thesingledream Herr, it's not about the Berlin Wall, listen to the album and to the lyrics again... It's about the schizophrenia of the main character, Pink, caused by his teachers, his ex-girlfriend and his father's death. Pink is hiding himself behind a wall to run away from his life, cause he "doesn't need anything at all". Once the wall is complete, he realizes his mistake and try to get out, without success. That's what the song is about, nothing to do with the Berlin wall.

  • @thesingledream You clearly know nothing about Pink Floyd

  • @Cenarrion Very true...the cure to depression of any kind is unity. :)

  • Hey (we)you out there in the cold, (we are) getting lonley getting old

  • Best Live Song I LOVE this song and this version is so amazing!!!! I made it a cover myself I tried my best hehe... >.> I hate to try publish it lol but XD.. it is in my channel.. anyways this is awesome!!!!!!!!!

  • he ya if you hate this fuck you !!!!!!!!!! thumbs up if you like pink floyd im pinkfloydahhhhhhhh ya!! ?

  • the song that never end

  • Togheter we Pwn

    Divided we call GG

  • There were other musicians on stage, in studio in this piece the fretless bass was played by david

  • Just favorited this song. Fuck Yeah!

  • tears.

  • Hey, the Pink doll kinda looks like on of those old men sitting in lawn chair on his front porch.

  • I feel I could have written this song.

  • @XenophobicPiglet Watch The Squid and the Whale

  • He managed to build the wall around himself so high and shut everyone out that now his cries for help are unheard. He is calling out for help but nobody can hear him. It's almost like screaming but no sound coming out of your mouth.

OR maybe he's crying out to himself. maybe these thing are all him. maybe he's telling himself to not give in without a fight and end up in the ground barried and eaten by worms. hum...

  • @Thesary94

A very good observation, I think you hit it right on the head. Many of the songs done in the wall album were in reflection to Syd Barrett (I believe) having a mental disorder (Schizophrenia I believe again) and his experiences in a mental hospital. In fact the song comfortably numb is about the types of drugs he was put on during his stay there.

  • So Roger wasn't playing the bass in this? Bass pedals for David or RIck then?

  • @RCAvhstape Andy Bown was playing bass.

  • i love how pink floyd makes their live songs more awsome by puting props on the stage or playing the video of a song like goodbye blue sky, it makes it 10000x more awsome

  • Together we stand,

    divided we fall..

  • someone knows gilmore pedals used in this recital

  • i bet more than then half the audience shoved stones up their ass
