This is my favorite part of the movie, and for one reason. I love the way Dumbledore looks at Harry when Harry's been possessed. He's got that "Oh sh*t" look on his face, like he can't believe it.

It's supposed to be Dumbledore, because he has the capacity and ability to love, whereas Tom, (Voldemort)

cannot. If you read the books, you'll see that both fluctuate.

Not only that, but Dumbledore's had a lot more practice with dark magic (being so freaking old and all, he's awesome), but in the book he wasn't trying to kill him, either; also, if Harry weren't there for him to keep an eye on at the same time, it might have been different. Dunno :/

1. That woman had the best witch-like laugh... i love it, so high pitch and blood crawling.

2. This fight scene was the best part of the whole movie.... loved, loved, loved it. Dumbledore got his freak on.

i wish they had just copied the duel from the book more, with the moving statues and fawkes and everything. also i felt they made the duel much closer to create arbitrary tension. dumbledore could have destroyed riddle easily but he was already suspecting what we find out for a fact in book 6, that he had horcruxes. since it wouldn't have mattered, he tried to capture him in the bok.

It's clear in the novel that dumbledore, having just wasted a half dozen powerful death eaters without breaking a sweat, has the upper hand in the duel with riddle. He's clearly not putting everything into the duel, as riddle ridicules him for. He suspects that anything he did to riddle wouldn't truly finish him off and it was much more important that the ministry finally wise up than to temporarily "destroy" Voldemort again. Tom endangered by the wielder of the Elder Wand, not the reverse.
