This song has never lost its power to move me to tears. In fact, it gained more power as I got older :). Born in 1970, I got this song on the compilation album 1981 OVER THE TOP. At the time I connected more with the feeling captured in the song, but as I got older it was both the words and emotion of it I connected with due to more life experience. Gorgeous song.

@The80swildchild actually, i know somebody who had (and probably still has) an online music channel that plays a good mix of clips (many far more impressive and obscure than my own collection)... he tried to get it off the ground, but there just wasn't enough interest from the powers-to-be... if it was to happen, I'm sure in time I'd just morph into becoming just another grin-and-bare it host of just another run-of-the-mill eighties-nostelgia show... but you're idea is a good one!

I saw Billy Field do this song in Monteray Bay Cal whilst I was at the RAN College for languages, I love this his voice, an amazing ballad, We bought him drinks all night, Such a down to earth guy.
