They say that once only 1 member from a band leaves, the whole atmosphere and music style changes even if slightly. Look what happened to Korn. I STILL love them but not as much as when Head was in the band.

smashing pumpkins still exist but its only billy. as far as keeping in touch between band members, billy only seems to keep in touch with jimmy. james is with tinted windows and keeps in touch with D'arcy. D'arcy is underground and claims that she isnt well enough to play music these days. she gone underground i guess....
