  • THANK YOU SIR

  • I bought the Kiowa flute as well in 2009. For me it is the best form of music meditation. Thank you for sharing this video.

  • Kit that sounds great. I just got my Kiowa Love Flute from eriktheflutemaker about a week ago. This is my 2nd NAF and his is absolutely the best I have ever heard or played.

Plus he is a cool guy and I love to support him. As some of you may know erik makes flutes and bamboo saxes of all different styles. He is a true craftsman.

  • Kit i really enjoy your flute playing, very soothing to the soul. I will think of something for piano and maybe your Am flute.

  • Oh, Rico, that would be WONDERFUL! I was quite taken with the first take we did, would LOVE to do an encore!

  • Wonderful instrument, wonderful playing! I'm trying to avoid using the word "haunting" but that's exactly how it feels....

    Thank you,

    Ukulele Katie

  • Well, THANKS!!! And it's okay to call it "haunting" - others have and lived to tell the story! I do love this little flute. Thanks so much for dropping by!!

  • Awesome!

  • so peaceful & very pretty sounds !

    Excellent 5*

  • Thanks ALOT! I still play this flute several times every week - it's WONDERFUL! And I think it's mellowing with a little age. VERY cool!

  • I enjoyed the sounds, check out my flute videos and let me know what you think. Keep playing, and I agree that Erik is very talented and humorous.

  • Where are the Kiowa in this Video?

  • in the flute

  • Well said, bagOrions!

  • I would like to purchase one Kiowa love flute! Can you recommend me a place? I am a student and money is a barrier! Thank you

  • Hi - there are many Native American flutes. I like this one the best - google Erik the flutemaker and it'll take you to his website. His Kiowa flutes are excellent, well made, good tone, easy to play, VERY affordable - and Erik is a fun guy.

  • I think Erik is the only one that makes the Kiowa style flute, but yes there are many other people who sell Native American flutes. Erik is by far the most affordable as well.

  • Actually, Jonah Thompson makes authentic NAF and is slightly less expensive than Erik, and High Spirits flutes are within the same price range.

  • See my update above. But I'm thinking comparing Native American style flutes might be like apples and oranges. I love my ETF Native American style flute. I also cherish my Laughing Crow flutes. And keep in mind - that 6th hole, which my ETF does not have, opens up ALOT of range and possibility!

  • Another really great NAF that I've discovered since uploading this video is by Laughing Crow - google Laughing Crow Native American Flute. He is a VERY sweet guy and makes wonderful and affordable flutes, too. For a larger bore and another nice selection of great NAF's, google High Spirits Native American Flute - the maker Odell seems like a great guy, too!

  • LOVE LAUGHING CROW and Love Kitd!!!!

  • @kitd56 I agree. I have been listening to Laughing Crows samples and reading his website. I did not mean to imply that eriktheflutemaker makes the "best" flutes. I simply meant to say that he makes great flutes. He is a true craftsman and teacher.

Kit: Thank you so much for sharing your experience with this wonderful flute. It gives me such joy to listen to what you are playing and that you are sharing happiness to all who listen.

    Peace.

  • I want one they are so nice.

  • I just bought a Kiowa Love Flute from Erik the Flutemaker.. sounds so peaceful. I enjoy playing on the front porch when the rain is coming in. Just takes you to another place. Wonderful playing. I enjoyed listening to it.

  • its so relaxing

  • Thanks, bradles - I love listening to the Kiowa, and playing it is extremely relaxing as well. Take care!

  • Yep, they're incredible! I love the sound and feel of this flute very much. Thanks for commenting!

  • I purchased mine in 2004 from Erik The Flute Maker. I play it Daily. I love it!! It sounds just as good as it did when first purchased in 04.

  • my heart is flying...

  • The Kiowa flute does seem to transport folks. It's an incredible instrument, VERY easy to play. I can't remember living without one!
