it is amazing how people from other countries impulse mexican culture. I admire him....i was watching the other day "top chef ", i don't know wich season, it was a quick challenge about mexican food, it was Rick present, the challenge was to create high cuisine "tacos", it was an horrible comment, about a contestant saying "how can you create high cuisine from mexican street food??" it is obviuos that american people doesn't know anything else than hamburgers... they don't really don't know.....

Don't worry honey, he won the Top Chef title anyway, so I guess more and more people are embracing the "street" foods...I mean let's face it, it's the best food you'll get anywhere in the world, every culture has its own version of street food and it's delicious!

@MARTINMEX I don't think the comment was directed at Mexican culture, rather it was about the "street food" part. Regardless of cultural ties or origins, street food is not supposed to be elevated or fine dining. That's the fun part though! Street food is something delicious (hopefully) that can be carried around and eaten while enjoying the outdoors.
