  • couldnt they call her parents and have her picked up

  • Horrible story & still unsolved! The S.O.B's! Would they have wanted their children treated this way?!. Sick sad world we're living in.

  • Screw that. I'd be AT the damn station to pick her up with a quickness. THEN get a lawyer.

  • Is Malibu generally a nice area? What are the people like?

  • "More remains believed to be those of Mitrice Richardson are found in Malibu search" anagrams to "Ventura Sarah abduction & bar: horrible choice feminism or esteemed Romeo & sand life".

  • all black panel????of course this isnt gonna go well for o whitey..io hope she is fpund alive tho..

  • Since so many people want answers I asked Nancy Grace and CNN to reinvestigate this story to get more details and hopefully speed up the investigation or to get tips. I suggest everyone do the same. The more people who ask the more news programs will cover this. Nancy Grace is particularly good at getting police videos if that is applicable to CA.

  • so who questioned the cops who were the last people to see her? did they really let her go or did they have something to do with her disappearance?? wether she was on drugs or not why would they release her in the wee hours and from that remote location?? im just saying somebody needs to ask some more QUESTIONS..

  • The mother, did indicate that she had not only contacted the restaurant, but also, had contacted the police department before her daughter's arrival, in order to seek information regarding bail amount, and when her daughter would be released. This is when the mother was told by the Sheriff's dept, that Mitrice would be released at a later time in the morning. Meanwhile, the mother was making preparation to be at the Sheriff's dept to pick up her daughter, however, she'd already been released.

  • this is so sad. i feel bad for her mother. but i think that the family should quit blaming everyone else. her mom knew something was seriously wrong. she should have gone down there. because most of the people in jail in the middle of the night seem nuts the cops don't interfer with someone's right to speak for themselves unless they they are completely insane in a dangerous way. mitrice chose to go home. i hope they find out how she died or who killed her if she was murdered. tradgic.

  • @judyluvsnoel The family should stop blaming everyone else? Clearly, you're missing some important factual details like that Mitrice's mother, Latice, called the police station and spoke with an officer who told her Mitrice would be released in the morning hours. At 4a, Latice called the police station again and was told Mitrice had already been released several hours earlier. Latice trusted the police and they misinformed her.

  • @warmcozy i would have gone to the police station. her mother already had a bad feeling about something was going to happen. the police did not kill her. she wanted to leave and didn't call her mom. she had that right. the police can't force people to call their parents or have them commited if they seem able to take care of themselve and are not a danger. . this is a horrible tragedy but thanks to police with their new forensic abilities there will be justice. God Bless the family.

  • @judyluvsnoel thaaaaaaaaaaaaaank you thats what i been saying...your daughter is have a mental break down and shes at the station...get your laaaaaaaaaaazy ass in the car and go get her!!!!!!!!! shame on that mother

  • @nyjet2210 i didn't mean it that mean tho. her mother and her family are all good people. she had a bad feeling and should have trusted it and that is a mistake anyone of us could make. she trusted the police to give her the correct information and now knows release times change.. fortunately the police have since changed their policy of letting women out in the middle of the night and are being more careful about whether people are not able to safely get home. i hope the killer is found

  • @nyjet2210 The law clearly states that if a detainee appears out of sound mind, law enforcement is to keep them in custody until someone arrives to pick them up. According to the law, it was the police that were in violation of their responsibility - not the mother.

  • @warmcozy ya but the mother should of been down there as soon as she called...I would of...but care more for my children...and the yound lady has a history of being mental...why was she let to go out alone? bad mother...

  • @nyjet2210 I would have thought my child was safe in police custody. Mitrice's mother trusted the police. The policeman she spoke with sounded very sympathetic and gave her faulty information. The only mistake you could possibly assign to the mother is that she trusted law enforcement to hold to their responsibiliities.

  • If I was the mother of Matrice I would of drove straight to the jail as soon as I heard she was taken into custody no matter what time of the night it was. Why was no one there to meet her when she left custody?

  • it's a shame what drugs can do to you.

  • @xxdbozconfidentialxx Do we know for a fact that drugs was a factor??

  • if what the resturaunt patrons said was true about her acting mentally ill, then the police would be saying the same thing. and if the police are saying that she acted like she was mentally unstable then a psych evaluation would have to be done. they don't just let people who mentally unsound go. someone or a couple or a group of someones are behind her dissappearance. the truth will come out.

  • @u8x7251 i have wondered if she did call someone to pick her up and that someone killed her.

  • I really, hope that she's found, such a beautiful girl, the police did a really shitty job handling the situation, this all could have been avoided with a bit more precaution, but there's something someone's not telling.

  • there doing a search for her on the 5th of June, 2010. I strongly believe that her family will find out some crucial answers to there question.
