Often when schoolmates from the early 1950s get together we reminisce about a favorite teacher who was asked to leave the school system. We never learned what happened to him. As with so many things those days, not a word was said about why he was leaving, but we heard it had something to do with the authorities suspecting he had communist leanings. I'm glad there's a book about it and hope it answers some of our questions. -- Pat
