I don't see any problem with this policy. I have no love for Condi and the neocons, but I don't see why everyone else in the comments is complaining that they're not doing more. Armed conflict is not an option and unnecessary at this point. The only avenue I can see is diplomatic isolation and fraying trade relations with Russia. Also, to accelerate Georgia's admission to NATO (and Ukraine). That's the reason Russia orchestrated this conflict, to provoke the West because of NATO's expansion.

Obama was totally appropriate in his response. He was both evenhanded & fair w/ respect to the Russia-Georgia conflict.
