I love the Brady Bunch. But I always had the feeling that Eve Plumb hated her role and hated being Jan. In real life she made that very clear refusing to perform with the rest of the cast. Sherwood Schwartz should have re-cast her role early in the series. Anyway, Geri Reischel, did a geat job on this song. As Jan, she had a lot of fun with her role and she fit in with the cast. A Much better actress too.

Why did they replace Eve Plumb? She was in the Brady Bunch movie, then Susan (Cindy) had to be replaced due to her honeymoon weekend.

People forget Eve Plumb was doing quite well for herself after "the Brady Bunch." She had just had a lot of success in the TV movie "Dawn: Portrait of a Teenage Runaway" where she played a prostitute, and she got a lot of acclaim for that and things seemed to be going up from there. Eve was not eager to go back to doing Jan. But that promise of success never materialized so she went and did the Brady Brides and so forth

That's a sign of an untrained voice. She is very good, but it's reasonable that since it was a variety song, that anyone they hired to replace Eve Plum would have to sing well

I didn't know fake Jan could sing. She has a better voice than anyone from The Bunch including Marcia. But she still isn't the real Jan. Eve Plumb was very underrated. She was the glue.
