His conditioning is sick! I've never seen him look winded in the ring! Every other fighter has had to take a blow or looks tired at some point. Not him it's crazy!

Mayweather is a product of multi generations. I saw some old vids of his dad, and he wasn't anywhere close to spectacular.. I don't know bout Roger, but over the decades these 2 did their homework and Mayweather Jr is their succesfully experimented Frankenstein; seasoned potential guided by "insider" experience. Even Pacquiao wasn't raised like this. Mayweather is the result of a silently built dynasty..

@ZMorpheus well put..I dont kno how the hell they taught Mayweather 2 be that great..It HAS to be something about Floyd that is naturally extroadenary cuz obvoiusly if His Father could teahc him all that, then he could have been as good as Floyd...But I think Floyd SEES the punches differently, and he FEELS his opponents mind...he's a phsychich..he predicts when u will move, punch, what hand u will punch with, then reacts to it BEFORE u do it..His jerk-away defense was something that tops it off

@tenfoldsoffspring one of the aces that works great in Mayweather's favor, is that his family really wants him to succeed.. the mayweather camp is not functionally separated, which is something rare in this day & age where everyone wants a crumb for themself. Sr Mayweather stepped aside, so Roger could proceed to guide him.. that's plain humility for the cause. not many dads would put their egos down like that..

@ZMorpheus Well I dunno about all that....Floyd Sr went to jail and Roger started training him....after Sr got out of jail, Floyd Sr returned to train Floyd and Sr would boss Floyd aroun like he was a kid.....Jr was Grown and he fired Sr and rehired Roger and from that point on Sr feuded with Jr and Roger.....They talked about it when Floyd fought De La Hoya....They all later squashed it and became cool again, and Sr still wishes he could Train Jr

@ZMorpheus Roger was a really good offensive fighter with a stiff jab. Floyd Sr. was a brilliant defensive fighter. The videos you saw of Sr. have to be put into context. He fought a portion of his career not only on drugs but with injury. Part of the reason he didnt meet his potential is because he was shot. Floyd Jr however, is an all time great because he incorporated the best of both worlds into his style and perfected it early on.

@codeman95291 The drill is for speed, accuracy and proper technique. (ex. turning your hands over, circling your opponent properly, maintaining defensive awareness, putting punches together and knowing what combinations to throw + when) Every drill doesn't have to incorporate power. Ricky Hatton made fun of the drill and got his ass handed to him by Mayweather. Not saying this is the only reason why but Floyd Sr. was the 1st trainer to EVER show Hatton how to hit the pads.That's sad!

@NextWorldApparel yeah, i understand that i'm sure it's important but in my opinion it doesn't simulate how you'd throw punches in a fight because even mayweather himself doesn't throw punches like that when he's actually boxing someone

@codeman95291 he throws harder but the form and footwork is the same. Many guys have talent but lack refined skill. You get guys who train for months and then come in the ring and punch with open hands. (Ex Shane Mosley) Or, a guy practices maintianing balance and defense when they throw but are over the place in the ring (Hatton vs Pacquiao). Plus the drill is more about reflexes and being able to think quickly. It's like a walk thru in a football practice. It doesnt need to be full speed.

@MrENGLISHBULL people who have never laced up a pair of gloves have no clue about that. that boxing shit is no damn joke! it's hard ass work! pad work with no opponent is hard as hell. 1 rd of pad work is ridiculously hard and i've watched floyd in person a bunch of times training and the stuff he does makes no sense. 8-15 min rds,:15-:30 sec breaks and 15 strt minutes of pad work...then straight to body bag, more pad work...then heavy bag. he's a damn animal training! you said it right my man

It is simply amazing how people jump off one guys bandwagon and hop on another guys bandwagon. Manny is good no questioning that. Floyd is great. He is truly a technical smart boxer with amazing speed and ability. Manny is simply a brawler.  He relies on just throwing a high volume on punches. His defense is well below average.
