why is the engine starting hard is this normal. With new new EFI system it should start easy or maybe something else i don't know would you be so kind to tell me please thanks
That wasnt a hard start at all. The procedure for starting radials is a bit different than an opposed engine. The engine is cranked through several blades before the mags are switched on, to allow oil to be distributed through the engine. It's usually engage the starter, let it turn several blades, then switch the mags on and she fires right up.
what does that thing burn an hour?

I grew up with a 195. Big and fast. I loved wiping the oil off of the belly. Thanks for reminding me.

Why are they running it with the cowling off?
eriku571 3 years ago
The cowling is off because they just did some work to the engine (installed fuel injection). If you read the title, it gives you the answer.
